Hey man, I don't post on here, but from one vols fan to another, can you please stop making the rest of us look like a bunch of jackasses? We've been good for one season so please chill. Yes, this is probably the most stacked offense Tennessee has ever had from a talent standpoint, but you didn't have to be a dick about it in your response. Half the roster left 2 years ago and it's gonna take more time to get to the level of talent that UGA, Bama etc possess so can we just shut up until our team can back it up?
-Opposing fan asks the question.....
-Not a single Tennessee fan agrees with the early ranking
-opposing fan of a different team makes fun of us for claiming Tennessee will win it all despite the fact no one ever claimed that....
????
"Had the luck of stumbling into Uber talent"...... I gotta know where this Uber talent you speak of came from. Because after Pruitt left Tennessee lost 35 players to the portal including....
-2 best LBs including the leading tackler and leader of defense
-sack leader and best pass rusher
-top 2 RBs
-starting QB and backup
-RT who was a 5 star and the guy who started over him
-only playmaking DB on the team
-4 out of top 6 DTs
Doesn't sound like any of the talent Pruitt brought in stuck around does it. Only exception is Darnell Wright and Hyatt (who averaged 200 yards a season).
Fast forward to last season, Tennessee's best players were:
-A former backup ACC QB (Hooker)
-a former walk on (Tillman)
-an LT that lost his starting spot a dozen times under Pruitt
-a 200 yard a season WR (Hyatt)
-a guy who worked at dollar general a year before coming to UT (Young).
All of those guys were drafted in the first 3 rounds of the 2023 NFL draft.
If Heupel and his staff could win 11 games in year 2 with these guys, what do you think he'll do with a legit roster. Be honest

Laughably bad is a stretch. Here's some facts:
#9 defensive rushing yards per game
#26 Defensive PPG
#13 Red Zone defense
#18 3rd down defense
#22 forced interceptions
#23 fumble recoveries
#11 Turnover margin
#33 sacks
#31 tackles for loss
#40 defensive passer efficiency
#16 1st quarter points allowed
#19 1st half points allowed.
But ya, passing YARDS per game is all that matters
We as vols fans fully anticipate this being an absolute sh!t show. I mean, we're doing my friends bachelor party there and the only strip club in the area is called "Fuzzy Holes"...
We can literally hear your butthole tightening up
Where are you getting these stats? Shoop's D had the #1 4th down defense. Tennessee was #120+ next discredit attempt

Beat Florida with Vandy. Think about that for a minute. Vandy.
Eric Berry's brother scored 4 times without ever being on offense. Derek Barnett is 12 sacks away from breaking Reggie Whites record. Jalen Hurd will leave Knoxville the most prolific RB in UT history. Josh Dobbs had the least turnovers by a QB in UT history. Our rushing attack was the most by a UT team since 1951 last year. We have role players ready to attack that you haven't even heard of. Oh and our punter had the best average ever by a UT player. Including all the colquitts. Yeah Tennessee hasn't improved at all

Not to mention the 5 stars we had sitting on the bench this past season. We ready to eat
I don't see any Shariff Floyd, Dominique Easley, Dante Fowler or Matt Elam's on your roster anymore.
The jury is out. Don't even bother watching the Florida or Bama games guys. Old white men will always be afraid of change
So if you're going year by year, why does it bother you so much to talk about 2016?
We get it. Why would we want to talk about losses that don't mean anything to our next season or future of our program? It's that simple
We have historically battled Florida for the SEC East. You understandably remind us that we haven't beaten you while going through the worst continuous coaching carousel an SEC power has ever seen. That's apparently enough for you to deny that Tennessee will ever beat Florida, and that next season will without a doubt be a mediocre season for us. We see the changes, we look at the roster and we know that there are no weaknesses on our team anymore, as well as depth we haven't seen since 2004. As a Tennessee fan, I have been able to notice and admit positive changes in our rivals and other SEC teams, something every other fan base refuses to do for Tennessee simply because we have been irrelevant in recent history.
You haven't seen him throw, have you? I'd take him over anyone else.
We really don't think about your team at all
I'd put money on the vols winning nine games this year
There are two posters who like to ruffle feathers. The rest all know that we're a year away and probably an 8-4 team. You can downvote me, sorry it doesn't fit into your agenda. If UT fans get defensive it's because EVERY SINGLE DAY, there are at least 5 threads that want to point out something else bad about UT. We get it. We haven't won in a long time. WE GET IT. I'd really like to enjoy this website but this shite is insufferable.
Dude, please stop. You're just making It worse if we do lose. I'm a vols fan and I want to be able to enjoy this website. We may win, we may lose. Let the play on the field dictate your talk.
6 rushing touchdowns. Still great.
