Youngsters here have no idea what gorilla ball really meant. Drawing a blank on his name, old age, but LSU's shortstop that yr hit 41'ish & came in second. Team had 180 HR's the last yr of gorilla ball, a record that will never be broken. And I stand corrected but S.Cal won the championship game by 21+ to 14 or something like that. Those pitchers back then had no chance.

This is an extremely weird thing to post in an LSU baseball thread. Considering LSU is one of the few teams in the country that actually sees profit from its baseball program.
Spoiler alert, Auburn lost 2.6 million last year on baseball :(
