So if malzahn had another bad year he's gone? That would be 2 years removed from losing a nc game

Wait a minute. Richt is averaging 10 wins a season? But all the memes I see about him say he's the best 8-4 coach.
And he would last two years.
And he would last two years.

Will Retire Prior to Being Fired - Spurrier
Will Take Another Job Prior to Being Fired - Saban
That is a pretty assessment sir. I tip my hat to you.

7-5 is basically what Nutt averaged at Arkansas and we gave him 10 years. When we fired him, everyone said we were crazy and that we would never find a better head coach. That's how how Arkansas fans gained their reputation as "delusional". So, I find this entire exercise somewhat ironic.

The Mississippi schools would never fire their guys for consistent 7-5 records
Neither would Kentucky
After Spurrier, SC may get antsy, but I think that their guy would have at least a 5 year rope

The implication was "If" the wheels fell off, Saban would be offered another position and accept before he got the axe at Bama.
And no... I don't think anyone believes that the wheels would fall off at Alabama unless there is some serious scandal/probation afterward.

Auburn has shown we will fire a coach 2 years after a NC, although 2012 was insanely bad.
Auburn hasn't shown shite. Chizik lost control of the team not only in wins and losses but respect from the players. They had no choice but to fire him. Had he gone 7-5 in 2012 and the team played hard with few external known discipline problems he might still be there.

quote:Progressive decline in the SEC record since 2011. 6-2 in 12. 5-3 in 13. 4-4 in 14. An 8-5 record and being UNRANKED at seasons end is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The Miles seat is definitely warm........
here are three threads on this topic on the first page of the LSU Board... after one 8-4 season.

My statement still stands. This is not an "Auburn is so great!" Post. It is more to understand what people think their and other fans think would happen.
