I think you'll see the NCAA collapse. It's only a matter of time until Title IX is pushed to get equal payment for Women's Bball, Swimming/Diving, Equestrian, et al and Athletic Departments will say "frick this shite" and just nuke scholarship players altogether. The power programs might hold out longer, but small programs and historically mediocre teams (USCe, lol [No, I'm kidding, they have a pretty flush AD fund right now]) will not be able to support themselves and it will dilute the product to the point where the NFL just starts a D-League and schools go back to club programs.

Pats would wheel and deal to draft LSU.

11. Tennessee / Tennessee
12. New York Giants / Connecticut
13. Saint Louis / Missouri
14. Chicago / Notre Dame
15. Pittsburgh / Pittsburgh
16. Dallas / Texas
17. Baltimore / Maryland
18. New York Jets / Rutgers
19. Miami / Miami
20. Arizona / Arizona State
21. Green Bay / Wisconsin
22. Philadelphia / Penn State
23. Kansas City / Kansas
24. Cincinnati / Kentucky
25. San Diego / UCLA
26. Indianapolis / Indiana
27. New Orleans / LSU
28. Carolina / North Carolina
29. New England / Boston College

If we're going by proximity:

Houston - UH
Washington - Maryland
Jacksonville - Florida State
Cleveland - Ohio State
Oakland - Stanford
Atlanta - Georgia Tech
Tampa Bay - USF
Minnesota - Minnesota
Buffalo - Buffalo
Detroit - Michigan State
Tennessee - Vanderbilt
NY Giants - Rutgers
St. Louis - Missouri
Chicago - Northwestern
Pittsburgh - Pitt
Dallas - TCU
Baltimore - USNA
NY Jets - USMA
Miami - Miami
Arizona - Arizona State
Green Bay - Wisconsin
Philadelphia - Temple
Kansas City - Kansas
Cincinnati - Cincinnati
San Diego - USCw
Indiannapolis - Purdue
New Orleans - LSU
Carolina - Clemson (closer to Charlotte than any of the schools in the triangle)
New England - Boston College
San Francisco - Cal
Denver - USAFA
Seattle - Washington

This is really 2 topics. The first is dealing with how paying players will change things and that's a good discussion. The second somehow thinking that NFL teams will use college teams as farm clubs though is so bad I don't even know where to begin. That will simply never, ever happen because it doesn't make sense for anyone.

I do think the SEC is built to last better than any of the other leagues followed by the Big 1G and then a significant step back and followed by the Pac 12. The ACC and BDF are both very fragile and neither is built to last.

Columbia, SC is a good bit closer to Charlotte than Clemson is. It takes just over an hour to get from Columbia to Charlotte, it's roughly 2 hours from Clemson to Charlotte.

Panthers get the Gamecocks.

man, this has been going on for decades, esp amongst the white middle class. imo, it is the sole reason that soccer exists in this country (other than the vast number of "immigrants" that are here). we already have a generation of adults that played soccer and are teaching it to their poor kids, at least those kids that aren't good at any other sport.

I was trying to mix proximity with large living alumni populations

Hence, Texas A&M over Houston and Syracuse over Buffalo

Washington Redskins would obviously draft Ole Miss and allow them to return Col Reb as the mascot.

People do not realize the University Presidents still hold the cards. They will choke out any Union attempt to control College Football. I can not wait until a Womans Basketball Player sues the University once she sees the Football Players getting paid. How about a Honors Student wanting more money, because the University claims him statistically to increase their rankings ?

If what you described happens, I won't be a fan of that division of CFB. I'll find some smaller schools without PFP to become interested in.
