I still cant believe UF didnt hire Mullen, and LSU didnt attempt to hire Fuente.

Those guys are perfect fits to dominate at each respective school

You Moo State clowns have truly gone of the rails with your delusion. The idea that Muffin has a better chance of winning at your school than anywhere else is just comical. You have one SEC championship in your entire history. I say that as someone who thinks Muffin is a piece of shite and wouldn't want him

You know who talks about history and all time records? Losers. Ole Miss fans are good at this.

Why?

Because State clearly paid Leo and that could scare big time schools off. For example, I could see Notre Dame not wanting him due to that.

This isn't a judgmental post. Notre Dame will probably hire someone that has done the same. But you have to pretend like you didn't know. If Mullen were to take a big job, get caught cheating, then the AD and school would be roasted for ignoring the bright red flags.

Because history has relevance on State winning in the future? Who is delusional?
It'll be tough but in his mind I'm sure he believes there's a chance. He has the entire team back next year except a couple players. Only one being a real key spot. He has added talent coming in with more depth and will still be young next year. Most importantly, the SEC is becoming more manageable and that's a fact. His confidence in coaching is super high as only Saban is capable of out coaching him. He has finally got a DC that isn't looking to leave and has the experience to not be outcoached on a regular basis. He's gonna see that through. He can do something noone has done. And that's very attractive to a coach. He may leave for more challenges after that. His wife does not want to leave. His kids are young and were born there. He's 16th highest paid at 4.6 mil with a raise coming. ND pays Kelly 1.6 mil. States facilities are as good as any now. A hungry rabid fan base that can provide a hostile home environment. What it was in the past is irrelevant. It's a very good job at present. None of the teams mentioned have better shots at any kind of title right now. I dare someone to prove otherwise with those programs and not look stupid.

I don't believe MSU will get in trouble with NCAA for the Leo Lewis stuff, but it has to be a strike against him for other jobs.

Care to explain why? I mean.. without the obvious Ole Miss message board and fan site made up garbage?

Because the NCAA has already investigated the matter and cleared Lewis to play. End of story.

I'm the furthest thing from an Ole Miss fan there is. Not a State fan either. As a 3rd party who lives in MS, its pretty obvious. Every single one of my MSU friends agree that State paid Leo.

It doesn't make a lick of difference to the NCAA, and it shouldn't, but its pretty obvious that MSU paid him. Its obvious that's the school redacted in his comments.

He's getting the Notre Dame job for beating Ed Orgeron and Danny Etling?

While there are a few schools who CAN pay well over $5 million for Mullen, there are hardly any schools who would want to.

For that kind of money, you want a can't miss hire. Mullen has provided no indication that he can be successful at a more prestigious program. You just can't convince the big money boosters that he is worth it. Keeping MSU's head above water is a lot different than competing for championships at a bigger school.

Now, if he gets MSU into the playoffs, or makes it to 2 straight Big 6 bowls, THEN he will become a hot commodity. But by then it will take $6 million + to get him.

No. He'd be a candidate because he's the best developer of QB's in the game. Not to mention the Urban/ND connections.

He had Mississippi State at No. 1 at one point. They can arguably the West this year.

It's obvious the sky is blue at noon. It's obvious water is wet above 0 degrees and under 100 degrees Celsius.

It's not obvious MSU paid Leo Lewis.

I think State is great this year, and he deserves full credit for that. But I would worry a little about buying him based on the results this year.

He's had one winning season in SEC play in his previous 8 years at State.

If he was not such a terrible human being, he would have already left MSU. He can not even get an interview... He is a GREAT coach, could do great a big time program, MSU is lucky to get him.

I will stop buying Auburn Tickets if he came to AU.
