3 years he won't match this season again as a head coach. He will become a victim of his own success. Hell win plenty games though and stay relevant but not nAtional champs maybe not even top 10

This turned into the best thread ever!

Saw the title and came on here to post. Damn... After seeing the thread I almost forgot what I was going to say. This has been an exceptional thread.
If history repeats itself in any way then Auburn will have a mediocre season next year. After an incredible season in 1972 in which the Auburn Amazins (who were predicted by some to win only two games) went 10-1, beat Alabama 17-16 in a closing minute nearly impossible scenario and lost only to LSU, the 1973 team went 6-6 and won only 2 SEC games.

The OP is a terrible troll. But this is little more than a statement of faith. Stuff happens. Sometimes perfectly good coaches don't produce for a multitude of reasons.

It all depends on how much control he keeps of his team and how well Alabama does. As we've seen, sometimes, even the most talented teams fall apart because of poor leadership (not on-the-field coaching). To sustain success, he has to keep these kids engaged to perform consistently.
Also, if Alabama starts to struggle, it gives him a longer window to recover from any struggles he, himself, may have. It is all relative.

What about 04, 05, 06?
Or 93, 94?
Or 82, 83?
Or 86, 87, 88, 89?
Or 57, 58, 59, & 60?
Don't fit your argument so ignored?

I was referring to the 1972 unbelievable run by the Tigers. They've had other winning, even perfect, seasons, but nothing rivaled or surpassed the 1972 magic until this year's team. They may or may not do well next year but I wanted to remind others of that phenomenal team.
I see you did a lot of research to "ignore" my post.

After all the butt shots, this is the post of the day, imo.

So you singled out one game basically to make a point about "history repeating itself."
2010 had no magic either?
2004 had no magic?
1993 had no magic?
1983 had no magic?
BTW, Auburn didn't win the SEC that year even though they finished with the same number of conference losses as 'bama and won the head to head. Alabama played an extra conference game than the rest of the SEC.
But cool context and what not.
