This is fake news. I live here. I see about as many muslims as black people, at most 1 per day.
The area he described has almost 3 million people in it. So if the 30-60k number was even correct, that is 1-2%.

I came to say this. I don't eat a lot of ice cream, but this flavor stays stocked in our freezer. It's perfect.

3.99 for 85 octane in Northern Utah
5.39 for diesel (which I use :banghead:)

Personal record, of course, not world. Got up to 59.6 mph on a long blue run. Felt super smooth, not scary at all. I didn't even realize I was going that fast.
I've been hovering around 50 the last several years since I've had a tracker. Never really thought I would sniff 60.

I've had a banger of a last two weeks, starting with a great pow day at Snowbasin Friday. It was supposed to be a freestyle clinic, but my trainer and I mostly just enjoyed the snow. I did get reeeeaaally close to landing a tamedog (front flip for the skiers out there). I thought I might get it by the end of the season, but I'm running out of soft landings :violin:
Basin was beautiful with all the trees covered in rime at the higher elevations.
We were lucky to ride by Sister's Bowl right as patrol was dropping the rope. Incredible untouched powder turns. So great we had to do it again before word got out.
With the way the weather has been and how the mountain has deteriorated, this seems like a month ago.
Back at it Saturday with my wife and 6 y/o son. He rode the gondola and did blues all over the mountain. We had a blast.
Took off last Thursday and hit Snowbird. All around fun day riding Mineral Basin in the morning and Gad Forest in the afternoon. 30,000 vert and a new speed record.
Friday - Sunday at Basin with a great mix of freestyle training, family time, and likely my last teach of the season.
I know this season sucked for a lot of people in a lot of ways. I didn't get to be in the trees as much as usual, but I took advantage of the groomer practice time and worked on my skills. Snowbasin will probably be dead after this heatwave, but I have 2 Bird days to use in the coming weeks. I was in denial for a while, but I have finally reached acceptance... Next year will be better. It has too. Right?

My goal/reason for going is that I want my kids to grow up learning how to ski. They are excited about the trip, I just don’t want to spend all of the money if it isn’t worth it based on conditions.
Take 'em. Y'all will have a great time. It will be t-shirt weather, so don't overdress, you'll be sweating in 10 minutes. I'd recommend bibs so you don't get soaked if you fall.

This is like going to Arapaho Basin in June, it is not for beginners. I would find something else to do.
I don't agree with this at all. Slush skiing is about as easy (and fun) as it gets. My son is 6 and has been skiing slush for weeks. It gave him the confidence to go on blue runs. You go much slower and the falls are easier to take.

Never give up! Never surrender!
I’m pretty excited about my pow day at Snowbasin tomorrow. It’s been few and far between this year.
