Was reliving LSU’s most fun season and started thinking... I know they had Foster and freshman Berry but they had Ainge and Crompton at QB

UF had Tebow, Harvin, the Pounceys and a ton of other NFL talent coached by CUM

UGA had Stafford and Moreno

UK was the best it ever has been and will be with Woodson

Yet Ainge, Crompton, and Phat Phil managed to come out of that division... and actually led through most of the SECCG before giving up the lead on a pick-6 to an LSU team without its quarterback and reeling from what was supposed to be a BCS-killing loss to Arky.

Just another reason that 07 was on drugs and I loved every minute of it.

The entire 2007 season was on meth.

I hope this upcoming season is as wild as 2007

Also, Kansas, Missouri, BC, Rutgers, and USF were all in the top 10 at one point.

1. Classic Richt slow start. Went from pretty bad to really good in a mid-season off week.
2. Freshman RB Moreno owning UF, and freshmen LB Curran making a huge 4th down stop to prevent UF from scoring late.
3. An average Vols team barely beating some unranked SEC east teams over and over and over.

That was a crazy arse year for CFB as a whole. Wasn’t that the year Mizzou and Kansas had a top 5 showdown?

Kansas.

ETA: and after I post i see the poster above me alluded to this

Bama destroyed UT that season with like 5 or 6 players suspended over that Textbook scandal. DJ Hall was filthy in that game

Oregon became famous under Chip Kelly that year. Would've competed for it all or at least a BCS had Dixon not gotten hurt.

Illinois was a top 15 team...Juice Williams TYFYS.

USF even got to as high as #2. 2007 was one of the most insane seasons I have ever seen

Was leaving Iraq when U of I played Ohio State. Made a $20 bet to my buddy that they'd win, man was he pissed that morning in the chow hall. Illinois was a rose bowl team, but lost.

Would love to go back and look at that 4OT regular season finale with Kentucky. Bet that was bananas.

Probably would have, had WVU not choked against Pitt and Mizzou shite the bed twice vs. OU. It would have been entertaining to watch WVU vs. LSU in a title game, though.

UGA also would have won the SEC East if KY could have hit one FG.

Almost a top ten matchup between us and them. We were #11 and beat Kentucky when they were #8. I remember that game well.
