Here's the thing about Sumlin.....everywhere he has been, he finds a way to win. Oh, and we have a stable of 5* RB's.

I heard there were some for sale signs in Sumlin's yard after Saturday's game.

I would be a little worried with the lack of a really strong running game in the SE
A&M leads the SEC in rushing by nearly 50 YPG, leads in yards per attempt and Melena is third in the oncference among backs in YPC at 6.3.
Our running game is fine.

They will have to find a guy like JFF every 3-4 years for this to work. See Auburn.
Matt Davis will replace him for a year, then Kenny Hill, etc. Texas High school QBs are a great pipe line. Don't you worry about us.

I think the fact that we only average 42.4 yards/game more on the ground than the next best SEC rushing team is pretty pathetic, personally. I've already purchased www.firekevinsumlinbecausehehasaweakrunninggame.com. The site will be going live Sunday if we don't rush for at least 400 on SHSU.

Florida, Florida, and Auburn..

gimmick offenses dont work forever.
As long as Brick is the QB, that offense will work. And who knows, Sumlin might find another one.

kinda stating the obvious don't you think. a&m has been mired in mediocrity for about 15 years and now are in the top 10.

You may want to check your upcoming attrition on the Oline. They wont be as good up front next year.
Meh, Matthews is allbut guranteed to return according to most and we could return up to four starters. Even if we don't, we've got nationally ranked young linemen coming out the wazzu.

Happy enough to double his salary along with the coaching staff after the season is over.

If you ask Mark Mays he's 1 lost from being lynched. Nothing but a bunch of racist here in small town Texas.
If you ask the Aggie, he'll likely be our next coach in the Aggie Hall of Fame.

This is confusing. So which is it, next year or current? Your first post states we do not have a rushing game. I'm telling you we do. So you reference next year now? Okay.

I know JFF has been able to run for a good chunk of yards but without a sound running game, good def. coordinators will scheme him much better in the upcoming years.

Just wanted to get the general pulse on the A&M fanbase thus far.
Won the lottery happy?
Sumlin is a winner and has swagger. I love his attitude compared to the past 2 coaches we had (I'll even say I like him over Slocum, Sumlin is just a completely different personality). The team appears to have bought into him. Kliff Kingsbury.. wow. For a guy that is in his first year as OC in a BCS conference, I like what he's doing. Mark Snyder, not too shabby. He's got our defense doing better.

It's not a gimmick offense...it's here to stay. They avg. 545 yds/game...nothing else need be said.
Thing about this system, it doesn't require a kick-arse line, and you can plug QBs into it better than most any offense. It's not that complicated to run. Witness the production Leach had a TT with each successive QB (Kingsbury being one of them).
Btw, this isn't the same Leach style spread, either...Sumlin runs whole different scheme, more along the lines of what Baylor runs.

Not really. The offense operates differently but just as efficiently without a runner at QB. There are a lot of QBs with better arms than Manziel, so it's not like he's the pinnacle of a spread QB from every aspect.
