At the end of the year? Probably. However, A&M was WAY better at the end of the year as well, so who knows. Both teams will meet early next year, and both lost a bit on the defensive side of the ball
I'm looking forward to the game. Bryant will do well at Mizzou, because he will have some talent around him on offense

Arkansas fans shitting all over themselves when they thought they were getting him, now he’s not any good.
You seem concerned about him.

I don’t know honestly, but I bet Clemson loses to TAMU without him.
Really? Because they beat Alabama by 4 touchdowns without him, and they squeaked by an 8-4 team with him.
I think it is safe to say that Kelly Bryant isn't as good as Lock and Missouri doesn't have nearly the same athletes as Clemson. So I doubt he will make Missouri any better than Texas A&M, Auburn, LSU, Alabama, and Georgia. So I think they will find themselves in a similar situation next year as they were this year.

Last year was the true year that a down ACC got Clemson into the playoff. Bryant reminded me more of LSUs string of Jefferson, Jennings, and Harris more than he did Hurts. Serviceable, but pedestrian. Even going to the playoff, I think it frustrated a lot of Clemson fans last year that the staff never gave Cooper or Johnson a bigger shot. At his best, he won't blow a game but he's probably not going to lead a comeback either.

Game manager. He works with a talented team. Will fail at Mizzou.
We’ll put a ton of talent around him.

Most of Lawrence yardage against A&M was off of one play - the touchdown. It wasn't until Clemson switched over to Bryant that they began to make headway in the second half
Switched over to Bryant? They started with Bryant for the first 2 series...ran Lawrence for 3 series, then put Bryant back in for the last series of the first half. Then they started Lawrence the first 2 series of the 2nd half, Bryant came back in for the rest of the game.
BTW...most of Bryant's yards came on 2 plays (64 yards and 50 yards to Rogers and Higgins, respectively).

Trevor Lawrence is better than Kelly Bryant.
Don’t think we are breaking any new ground here.
He’s also better than every other college QB and probably several in the NFL

I dunno, but maybe you (Arkansas) should have asked this question before y'all went all in to try and get him . . .

ehh, i hope. But I need to see this first.
Have you seen the pre-rankings for 2019? They said the key was Bryant! He is a game changer and a better fit for Missouri offense. Come on man! Can't you do a little research and be more supportive and have faith in Odom, Dooley, and the players?

He’s an awesome runner. His passes take FOREVER to get to the target. On screen passes the defender pretty much had the receiver wrapped up before the ball got there.
That being said he’s a good guy and the team seemed to really like him.

People underrate just how good of a college quarterback James Franklin was when he was healthy. If he's as good as JF Mizzou will be just fine.

Better than what Missouri had without him, which is really all the answer Mizzou fans need

I think there is an expectation by the media (at least judging by MIZ suddenly showing up in various pre-season rankings) that he is going to do wonders. Ideally, MIZ is run oriented offense which could fit well if he's a dink/dunk passer. Either way he's an athlete and we are much better off with him on the roster vs. him being somewhere else.

"Freshman Trevor Lawrence started the second half but failed to move the ball effectively and Bryant took over and led the Tigers on two touchdown drives in the last five minutes of the third quarter to extend the lead to 15 points. Swinney said he'd continue to play both quarterbacks next week, but that he was happy with Bryant's work late.
"There's no doubt that I thought Kelly there in the fourth quarter settled in," Swinney said. "He gave us the experience we needed in that moment to come out of here with a win."

As one poster mentioned, he's better than any of the returning QB's, and he offers a very good bridge between Robinson and/or Bazelak. It's a very good fit for Mizzou and Bryant.
He doesn't have to carry the offense. He'll have a very good RB rotation behind him. Rountree went for over 200 yards in the bowl game and 1200 + on the season. Albert O is coming back so Mizzou is set at TE, which should offer Bryant a good security blanket in the pass game.
Mizzou loses Hall so the deep threat is gone and will need to be replaced. Lots of young WR's played this year so hopefully they can take a step forward. The o-line should be solid.
Overall, Mizzou will be a run first team next season and they'll use that to set up the pass. If Bryant can stay away from TO's, I think Mizzou's offense will end up just fine. Expect a similar team next year to this years team. A team that can beat just about anyway, save Alabama or most likely Georgia, but it may also be a team that could stub their toe and drop one they shouldn't. Luckily the schedule sets up well for Mizzou. I'll call 9-3 right now.
