How does the Arkansas Collapse affect their Baseball Recruiting?

The atmosphere and look of their stadium on TV I’m sure motivates young players to play in that stadium in front of those fans. But to allow so much emphasis on one player seemed to mess with the heads of the team that they could not win without Kopps. It seemed bizarre at times the calling of the hogs, Kopps pitching in just about every game, and then losing to a team they should beat. When Kopps went out it was over.
Will Arkansas take a hit on their recruiting?

I think both Hog fans and future recruits had to lose some confidence in Van Horn's ability to ever put together a national championship team after this weekend.

Van Horn should not have pitched him on Saturday when they were down by 1.

I've never seen Corbin allow this. Even when he was building Vandy’s program and had David Price, he pushed other players to perform and did not over use David.

Hell if location was all it took then us and Vandy would be locks for Omaha every year and LSU would never make the tournament

DVH is getting close to retirement. I think he has at most three good years.

I don't see DVH getting over the hump and he probably knows it.

If that's your logic then how has LSU built such a great program in Scenic Baton Rouge?

We know now but Kopps wasn't close to the issue. We lost on the other end. And yes, it's brutal a day later.

I think Van Horn's all or nothing approach to hitting was a bigger factor. Almost no bunt or steal attempts to try to manufacture any runs gets frustrating.

Arkansas is rich in baseball talent and a 100x better place to live than red stick. Saying something retarded isn't trolling. It's just saying something retarded.

Do better.

Pushing Kopps so hard will affect recruiting of great pitchers.

Pitchers with MLB talent don’t want a coach who will risk career ending injury to win a game

he's 24 not 18. and not a huge propsect. not defending the decision to play or rest him, but it's worth mentioning

Kopps had no shot at being a pro baseball player before this season, now he's likely the Golden Spikes winner. I'd say he probably doesn't regret anything.

Playing for DVH worked out just fine for Dallas Keuchel, Drew Smyly, Ryne Stanek, Jalen Beeks and others at the MLB level. Some people just go overboard with the drama. Every pitcher is different, DVH maxed out Wicklander at around 70 pitches each start during the regular season because he can't handle as many as Kopps. Kopps still ended up pitching fewer total innings than most teams' starters.

Is this where I make a post about the OP being obsessed with Arkansas? Maybe something about them having Arky on their mind 24/7 despite hiring a women’s basketball coach or winning a NC in T&F? Or is that only supposed to happen when a non-LSU fan makes a post about LSU?

You do realize Northwest Arkansas and western Arkansas in general is beautiful. I love camping and hiking in the Ozarks and Ouchitahs whenever I'm out that way. Also 95 percent of baseball recruits are white boi's that grew up in the outdoors, so Arky is probably in the perfect location for them. Compare that to shite hole Baton Rouge, where your lucky to not get shot if you stay one night.
