I'm being disagreeable because I won't accept your explanation for why I wrote what I wrote?

when Cam left UF he was still second string behind John Brantley. Had he not gone to junior college he might never had been a starter in college.

I have a VERY hard time believing this would be the case.

The only thing I got from the OP is, UGA still would not sniff a NC no matter what the situation.

Then why mention anything Auburn related?

Because the premise of this thread has to do with Cam Newton. He played for Florida and for Auburn. You know what you don't see in this thread? A bunch of Florida posters thinking this is about them.

The premise of this thread is UGA hypothesizing about a fantasy world where the single most impactful, rage-inducing event of the last decade for their program (Auburn beating them to a title and leaving them all alone) didn't happen.

But you are still making this whole what if's story originating from Cam. Cam in your head 5 years later.

Bigger question I have. How was John Brantley ahead of him on the depth chart?

I mean, that's one way to look at it. Or you can look at the dozen or other so ramifications involving almost every other SEC school, which was Durden's intent. As he already said, not everything is about Auburn no matter how much you want it to be.

you AU guys are a piece of work. I give you extra credit for consistency. I hate to disappoint but UGA fans don't give a flying frick about AU's 2010 season.

Crazy someone would make an off season thread regarding the most impactful college player since Herschel and what might have been had he gone elsewhere.

Hell, you guys are right. We should admit it's all about auburn and go back to Chubb vs Fournette' threads.

LSU potentially has 1 loss during the 2011 season and potentially loses a rematch with UF in the SECCG.

LSU fricking crushed Florida in 2011. Cam Newton wouldn't have won the game for them.

Auburn 2009: 5 losses
Auburn 2010: 0 losses
Auburn 2011: 5 losses

So, he was officially suspended?

He was going to face the Florida's Student Conduct Committee in the spring of 09, but he transferred winter of 08. He would have been suspended/expelled for 3 academic violations.

Yes, he was dismissed from the team for the laptop theft incident.

Did he kill anyone while playing for the Gators? Hernandez was drafted in 2010...crimes he committed after have nothing to do with Florida.

Cam was held up by a few injuries when he got to Florida. Brantley got the majority of 2nd team work and stayed the backup.

Do y'all seriously believe this? Auburn winning the title in 2010 has absolutely nothing to do with the recent hate in this series.

The point was (through transitive property), if Cam had stayed, Urban wouldn't have left Florida so we wouldn't have limped into Tiger Stadium with Muschamp as a coach and Brantley, a Wide Receiver, and a Tight End all playing QB.

umm...no he wasnt. Your coach at the time tried to convince him not to transfer.

Better question, how different does the SEC look if Shula would have landed Tebow?
Someone actually did that in a write up.
