How did Jimbo lose control of the ACC?

He had the Bama of the ACC, won a NC, constant top 5-10 recruiting classes, and somehow allowed Dabo and Clemson to surpass him?

Florida is not like most states when it comes to college football. It doesn't matter if you were a blue blood two years ago. Schools from the entire US fish in your waters for recruits and there is going to be at least one, probably two, good Florida schools every year in football.
You lose the pop off your fastball and suddenly a former blue chip school is middle of the pack in Florida. Who is scared of Miami now?

Saban/Alabama killed them to start the season. Lost their returning QB and between that and a terrible O-Line that was the end of it.

It's not just Winston, Jumbo allowed a lot of players to get away with questionable stuff. Much of it I'm sure will never get reported. Like a lot of coaches, he's not all about character of players....
FSU screwed up with the "Coach in waiting" crap. Bobby Bowden was at the end of his time as the noles were sliding. FSU, out of fear of losing Jumbo, created this "Coach in Waiting" shite that made Bobby Bowden a deadman walking.
The FSU fans, like Auburn fans in some ways, in just a few years after winning the nation title went nuts on a few bad years and started hammering Jumbo. The big difference is Jumbo got out of Dodge while he could and now the Aggies have this guy.
I just hope aTm doesn't wait too long because Jumbo will screw your program up in a few years if he isn't getting the results that big paycheck dictates.
