The Heisman is a joke. Its so watered down that it holds no value with me. I dont know why people even care anymore. McCaffrey is a good player and so is Henry. Who the frick cares what stupid fricking award they get? Its bullshite.

No. Henry was mire valuable to a team playing for the NC.

When he was given the trophy, he wasn't in the championship game.

If the trophy were awarded today, no doubt McCaffrey would win.

I hadn't watched McCaffery play until today. I was shocked at what he did out there against Iowa. That kid may or may not be the best back in the country, but he had the game of a lifetime in the Rose Bowl.

No slight to Henry, Fournette, or anyone else.

He would? You said multiple times the Heisman winner would only come from a playoff team.

What changed?

Now a couple of those less times he was "held to less than 100 yards" he was actually pulled because of a HUGE lead and to prevent injury... Try and have a little intellectual honesty, will ya?

Henry and Fornette have almost identical stats with Fournette's slightly better and that's with one less game played.

7 rushing TD's and 13 total for a running back is not Heisman material. He needs to score more. I have heard several voters on TV say this affected their vote directly. Sanders had 44 his heisman year. The kid is good but he needed to be on a better team and score more.

Because the award isn't given out by a bunch of Bama haters on the SEC rant.

McCaffrey gained more yards in a season than anyone who has EVER played college football. And, he broke Barry Sander's record in less touches.

Being worked liked a rented mule must be what the voters go by, though.

Remember your post next year when he and LF7 are competing for the trophy.

This crap about "people didn't see him play" is ridiculous. There have been way too many West Coast Heisman winners to believe that garbage. The bottom line is Henry was a more valuable player to a team that was in title contention.

Ain't giving it back.

If you mean having about the same amount of touches as LF and McWhitey, 24-25/game, then sure; whatever fits your narrative. The kid scored 7 touchdowns as a running back and everyone of you idiots bitched about Ingram only scoring 16 or whatever it was. Keep flip flopping your criteria though and know that Henry had a better single season than every SEC back in it's long history while sitting out 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters against lesser teams. Henry also set marks that likely won't be beat for a while considering how long Walker's record stood.

Be the MVP on a top 2 team and you're 2/3rds of the way to the Heisman. Set records and you've got the other 3rd and it's yours.

That's how the Heisman works. Doesn't matter who the best player is, which to me was McCaffery. Had he been at Bama he'd won it or if Stanford had been top 2 he'd won it had Henry had the same year but Bama was out of the top 2.

Now had Stanford and Bama both been top 2 this year, that'd been an interesting vote.

Avg. Defense faced by DS&P+ (as of time of voting)

McCaffrey: 67th

Henry: 47th

That's how. I can only imagine what Henry would've done with 30+ touches to the likes of Oregon State and California.

Breaking Barry Sander's CFB record is greater than breaking a conference record.
