The playoff rankings are a joke. The committee needs to be scrapped for open source predictions during the regular season. The top 25 pickers get to submit rankings for the playoffs.

Bring back the BCS and take the top 12. Competition matters.

Gross, bama and Miami would have been in this year under your scenario.

Ole Miss, Miami and Alabama all lost their way out of the playoffs. I won’t argue for inclusion. I thought my team just lost to bad teams, personally.

With that said, they have to reconfigure the seeding and consider leaving out entire conference slates.

This is the worst possible college football playoffs they could have envisioned. Not a single competitive game of any kind. There’s obviously no parity in this.

SEC Doctor, BSU got a bye just like the other conference champions.

Early rounds of playoffs, if seeded correctly, will always have blowouts, It is not so pronounced in basketball because teams don’t need so much time between games. Holidays and travel time also complicate the football playoffs.

How much time does it take to go from the original teams in basketball to the Sweet 16?

The playoffs are getting ready to get really exciting. Quite honestly, I’m surprised to see so much complaining.

Enjoy it! It will be over soon until Spring camp.

btw, it’s my understanding that the original plan was to reseed the field. However, that was scrapped due to objections from Conference Commissioners.

They need to scrap the conference championship games in favor of a 16 team playoff.

It beats me how the state of Texas can run playoff games for almost every high school in Texas, but the NCAA is struggling to run a playoff for the slightly over 100 universities and colleges in FBS.

Could it be because people who know nothing about football have too much input into the CFP?

Because the UIL only has to deal with the State Government of Texas

Addendum: There is no reason to have a CCG if both teams are going to be in the playoffs, win or lose.

They are trying to make everyone happy, forget it. Determine the Conf Champ on record.

The Mountain West equal to SEC or BIG? Please!

EDIT: my comments have nothing to do with Boise State/Penn State. BSU has usually played really well. James Franklin, imo, chokes.

No, they weren’t, Are you challenged in math?

Without the CCG, Texas had 1 (one) conference loss, and the best record in the SEC. Therefore, they were qualified before CCG, according to CFPC.

Do not try to rewrite history, make false statements, or post the party line to me. I watch all of our games at least once, usually 2 or 3 times.

Get it right or don’t post it. The committee stated before CCG that teams who played would not be eliminated for playing in CCG, even if they lost. Understand now?

I apologize to everyone else if I offended any of you, but I read a lot. I’m tired of Missouri fans posting nonsense without facts, or simply lying. I prefer to think they are just uninformed.

So, Tiger, how many losses did your team have?

You got beat down twice by Georgia and now want to get rid of the SECCG?

Missouri and Texas A&M tried warning you all....

OU is clearly happy taking the facial at this point.
