How delusional is your fanbase?

Generally speaking, how delusional or out of touch with reality is your fan base (SEC teams only)?
As an LSU fan, I think we're the opposite of delusional. Generally speaking, our football fanbase is the most negative and pessimistic I've seen in the SEC. Not much has to go wrong for the sky to fall on us.

Honestly its a tricky question. On the whole, every fanbase has the full spectrum. For UGA, I'd say there are more overly negative than super positive (but we've got a good number of those as well.) On the whole I'd say we're somewhere in the neutral zone, mildly delusional if you will.

Batshit! If we ever do win the SEC/NC some will be screaming we could beat the Cowboys! And I'm a huge hog fan and alum but also a realist. We are not to AL level and consistently not LSU's either. But we are gaining, ever since the MOTHO was fired.

Yes, because we lost so badly on Nov 5 that expecting a win on Jan 9 was soooo delusional.

I assumed he was just talking about on here. Most all the posters here are very rational about our success. If you look at our season predictions from last year then you'll see we were almost spot on with where we are at.

Delusional, possibly. In denial a lot of the time, more than likely. I know they are similar, but we have a tough time accepting how bad things are sometimes,

It was all of the people that were certain that it was going to be an easy win for LSU that I am talking about.

Every fanbase has that contingent and I assure you the vast majority of people did not think LSU would have it easy. Even if they posted to that effect on a message board, they didn't really believe it.

When we suck we expect to lose. When we are good we expect to lose. I think we take the cake as the most delusional fan base.
