OU makes as much money per year on its own deal than the SEC Network pays out (and Texas doubles both).

Yep no advantage here, at least according to some OU fans.

we left because you immediately started using it to skirt around agreed upon rules and the big 12 conference leadership did absolute jack shite to keep you guys from doing so
Lie. The questions were resolved (and not in Texas' favor) but by then aggy had already hauled arse to be Alabama's jizz rag.

How many more millions does Alabama make overall than Georgia? Cry about that.
Damn, looked it up, Alabama makes $40 million/year more than Georgia.

Does it seem to be a big deal? How are all those welfare cases doing right now as programs?
People in those states are watching a lot more SEC, Big 10, and Pac 12 football now, and less Big 12 football.
It's showing on the recruiting trail and likely in your wallet as well.
OU is hanging tough though. Y'all are a solid program. The Big 12 is dragging down y'alls perception though. Good call on playing OSU and good game

Hey idiot, two of those 4 (aggy and Nebraska) voted against a conference network and FOR single-school networks.
And then they left the "Big 12" to eight!
The Texas Christian High School and West Virginia High School joined so that there's ten! Who's the idiot in this thread?

So Mizzou and aTm fans, how delusional are these folks? Is it pretty much just Texas or is there more delusion in the B12?
All of them. Every time an SEC team loses Oklahoma fans barage me.

Nobody wants to create thier own you fricking retard. If a state as big as Texas cannot fricking make enough cash for the longhorns network no one can make thier own and profit. The only thing you are right about is fricking ESPN.
ESPN will never accept a single team network again. Ever. Now a whole conference that spans multiple states and comes as a mandatory package? frick ya. It still won't profit like the sec. We care more about football here.

big 12 is the second best conference this year, making them the tallest midget.

Just try to imagine the Bama, LSU, Georgia,etc...school President saying this.....
“I think it’s very important for us to always have the possibility of making a move if we want to, but I assure you that we don’t have any plans to make a move. That’s just my responsibility to the institution not to get us into a position where we can’t make our own choice when the time comes. … It’s in our interest that the Big 12 succeed. So no, we’re not desperate to go anywhere else.”
“I’ve been thinking three or four or five years down the road if there’s any need to make a change, but I haven’t wanted us to extend our grant of rights by 20 years or something like that so that OU would have no choices.”
“We wouldn’t walk away from the Big 12 lightly, I’ll put it that way. We don’t have any plans to leave right now. There’s not any active conversation going on.”

It sure sounds like the Big 12 is doing fine.lol

nothing is easy anymore. Ask Baylor about Falwell College.

The lhn did not decimate the b12. The b12 plays a fast, arena league style of ball for the most part. I actually like watching b12 games. OU is a top 5 all time program and deserves everyone's respect. I would welcome them with open arms into the SEC. The major difference between the b12 and SEC is money and future payouts. The CBS Contract will be expiring in a few years and my gut feeling is that many players will vie for the SEC primetime rights. The b12 needs to expand but can't seem to find any value programs. At 10 teams, adding 4 more weak programs will only dilute the per team payout.
The delusional argument is silly. What charlottesooner really wants is to be a member of our club. I welcome him.

Talk about delusion.
BIG XII fans aren't "jealous of the SEC", nor have they ever been jealous of A&M for anything at all, much less your drama queen move to another conference in an attempt to gain legitimacy.
Delusional and they are idiots too.
The only way you can name your conference Big XII is to have imaginary teams, like little children have imaginary friends. Either that, or they can't count.
The ACC and PAC have blown by the Big XII. It's the worst conference in the nation. It's the UF offense of athletic conferences.

Count me as 1 OU fan that misses Colorado ,Texas AM, Nebraska and Missouri. Big 12 is fine for now, but it's not our long term.
Mistakes made in the B12
#1 Not grabbing Arkansas and getting stuck with Baylor
#2 Moving base from Big 8 to Dallas
Not only was this a slap in the face of the Big 8 who has a majority of the B12 spots but sent the NCAA from the Big 8 footprint to the B1G footprint when they moved their HQ to Indianapolis.
#3 Having the idea of the conference network first but letting that guy go so he could establish the BTN then the PTN
#4 Letting the growing population conference (Big 12 / southwest) get raided by the shrinking population conference (B1G)
#5 Not replacing Nebraska and Colorado with Pittsburgh and Louisville (both in ACC now)
#6 Not adding West Virginia and Cincinnati to keep the league at 12 and the CCG in place
What I do know is this was the B12 in 2010
7 AAU schools
7 flagship schools
7 state footprint
3 football brands
Monopoly power in TX, OK, KS, NE , CO, MO
This is the B12 today
3 AAU schools
3.5 flagship schools
5 state footprint
2 football brands
Monopoly power in OK, KS, WV
Losing that much academic prestige is terrible
Losing that much political clout via Senators and Congressman is terrible
Gaining WV but losing NE, CO, MO, and 1/3 of TX was a terrible trade
Not staying at 12 the whole time and poor territory grabs has left the B12 fractured and on life support while texas gets its LHN money
Issues with the B12 today
- no conference network means not national distribution like BTN and SECN
- no academic adds to replace the 4 lost
- no new territory (OH with UC, KY with UL, or PA with Pitt)
- no contiguous states with West Virginia being an island so far away
(with OH + KY + WV + PA, B12 had a nice set of historic rivals near each other)

SEC has the best football program in the country and is still more fair and respectful of all of the other programs than the Big 12 is.
For Mizzou it was a no brainer, better conference, better facilities, better national exposure, better competition, and more money.
From a cultural standpoint Mizzou would have probably fit in better with the Big 10 but the SEC needed a little diversity
I don't regret leaving for a second, I can watch all of the games on the SEC Network or ESPN, where is before I would never see our OOC games unless I went to the bar.
