If Texas & Oklahoma really are willing to wait for four years. Which is being reported today. What's the SEC announcement going to say? "Some time in the near future we don't really know an exact date but Texas & Oklahoma are coming" Welcome to the SEC ?

"ESPN is giving Oklahoma and Texas the money to buy out of the Big 12. SEC Saturday Ticket will be $199 and only available through ESPN+."

NFW. They better not pay it for them.

That is not what the statement read. Basically if this happens apparently only the little sisters of the poor (Texas) will have a problem with the exit fee.

Their statement is written the way it is for legal reasons. The big 12 will now implode and no one will pay anything.

#SEC source: “The expectation” is for Texas and OU to play in SEC in 2022.

Last expansion:
— Texas A&M invited Sept 2011.
— Missouri invited November 2011
— Both played in SEC in 2012.

The "Imma watch my team play every game every Saturday" crowd is about to get nickeled and dimed.

Doubly so if you live outside of your team's "market". Some Arkansas fan living in Georgia? Yeah, he's going to have to pay to see Arkansas play Mississippi State.

Having SEC Network in your cable package isn't going to be enough.

That would be an awful outcome.

I get to see my Ags play every week. We expand to make things better, but now I need to pay for an additional service?

F that noise.

exactly. It’s essentially them saying “I’m just here so I won’t get fined”

There is already an SEC alternate channel. They could even rebrand the longhorn network and have a third channel.

I'm not saying there isn't the space on cable for an SEC Network Alternate, because we know there is. There will be even more once LHN joins ESPN Classic in the Disney trash heap.

Disney is driving this. Their ultimate goal is to make money, and they're going to pay A LOT for the SEC 3.0.

That cost will be passed along to us.

Same way Finebaum is reporting North Carolina and Clemson being announced tomorrow with Dabo in Birmingham. What the frick he would have to do with conference realignment is beyond me but hey Finebaum said it.
