How can anyone but A&M be #1 right now?

Because polls are based on last season's success and predictability.

To admit that they were wrong about A&M would be blasphemy.

Do these polls even matter any more? Maybe I am just confused, but I thought the committee was going to select 4 teams independent of the coaches and ap poll

because no one knows how good USC was

are they totally incompetent or did A&M make them look incompetent?

Because there are two schools of thought when it comes to polls.

1. Going strictly by how the teams are currently playing

2. Basing you poll on how you feel a team should be ranked and/or where they will end up at the end of the season

Clearly you go by #1 but #2 is also a valid method.

Please don't encourage the Aggies...

A&M is pretty loaded roster wise. Defense is a little behind our offense talent wise, but you could make a strong case that A&M has the most pure talent on offense in the whole country.

Bc Kenny Trill Hill has played one game and Winston won the national title and Heisman last year?

Because we have no idea if SCAR is good or not.

I'm high on A&M, but Kenny Hill will probably have a bad game or 3 this season, and many or most or all of his good games likely won't be like the first one.

I think its safe to say that USCe is not as bad as we made them look, but probably not as good as they have been the last three seasons.
