I think the score would have been similar. As I said in a previous thread, Clemson was really soft. LSU is a "punch you in the mouth" sort of team. I'd say that the score might have been 38-10. LSU would have scored a TD earlier instead of a FG.

Overall, though, Bama represented well and played lights out.

It was over in the first quarter. Clemson did three consecutive flea-flickers to get their first 1st down. They were WAY overrated.

Its a bowden, what did you expect? His Clemson team's always a disappointment, especially with all that supposed talent. I don't see how any top talent in the nation will want to goto Clemson knowing the coach probably won't even make it to next year.

You wouldn't have.

Bama is going to win the west and an unprecedented 3 national titles this year.

I don't think so!! If LSU played the same kind of second half like they did against App St, They wouldn't have beaten them by as much. Plus I don't think LSU gets 31 points in the 1st half against Clemson with a QB making his 1st start.

Also, Clemson would have had alot more motivation in the underdog role.

It would have been like the LSU/Miami Bowl game. Remember? We started an unknown QB in that game. What was his name? I think he's just won the back up QB job for the Green Bay Packers before he's even played in a regular season NFL game.

LSU would have beaten them worse than bama did. clemson's huge weakness is their OL and LSU's DL >>>> Bama's. bama won the game because they dominated the trenches and LSU has better lines

bullshite.

Bama came ready to play and brought EVERYTHING they had. Not saying Bama played the best game they will all year (maybe, maybe not). Bottom line, Bama had something to prove last night and that is EXACTLY what they did. Loud and f*cking clear, Bama said we will man up and whip your arse if you are not ready.

LSU would not have had as much to prove and would not have been as impressive or beat Clemson as bad. But, really it is a dumb question as the comparison from a motivational standpoint is tough to judge.

how is it bullshite? did you watch the fricking game? bama dominated them because they dominated clemson's OL. if you actually want to try to argue that bama's DL is anywhere near being on LSU's level then you're obviously not worth having any form of rational discussion with. OL is a little more arguable, but i'd still take lsu's. the whole "they brought EVERYTHING" argument is idiotic and lacks any real depth or analysis

Are you serious? Do you know anything about college football??

In college football, motivation is HUGE. Let me REPEAT, HUGE.

Alabama had a LOT to prove last night. Much more than LSU would have had to prove in the same situation if they were the one's playing Clemson last night. If you do not understand this, I am not going to explain it to you.

Motivation matters and Bama brought it last night. In spades.

I think the game would have played about the same. LSU excels on the OL and DL. Thats exactly where Clemson got whooped. I think it would have been the same game... regardless of score Clemson just cant compete in the trenches.

Yeah, I agree that LSU would have beaten them in similar fashion. LSU's D Line has the edge over Bama's and like we all saw last night, Clemson couldn't handle either of them.
Wilson didn't set the world on fire. His passes were all pretty vanilla routes, and he misfired on all the deep balls.
