Check the books and see how many times we’ve lost as a 1 or 2 or 3 seed in the first round. Acc teams seem to do it a lot.

that's b/c theyhave more opportunities to lose as top seed.

If I was designging the tournament, I would give the top seeds at least a double bye. perhaps a triple bye. I think regular season should matter more.
UMBC will now benefit from getting weakest seeds left, an advantage that UVA's regular season earned them, simply b/c they won one game. lol

Tillman, UVA obviously was not an elite team... And they won the conference. Wasn't impressed by UNC... Haven't seen enough of Duke to say either way, but they lost 5 games in conference.

You don't lose only 3 games all season without being elite. It is easy for you to say they aren't elite.
UNC is a great team. Great passing and shooting. Clemson was fortnuate Pinson got hurt early in that game b/c he is their glue guy.
Berry's performance at Clemson this year was probably a top 5 performance by a guard that I've seen. He's an incredible player.

I'm not rooting against any SEC team, even Auburn. I just like watching good ball.
One of my favorite Clemson games this year was the game at FSU that Clemson loss, because it was a great game by both teams.

Rhode Island looked pretty impressive to me in their first game so I could see an upset of Duke tomorrow. Duke probably going ot have too much size for them though.

On a serious note though. I don't understand why people would be mad about that. Unless he gets injured or something freakish happens, he is more likely going to be a one and done.

The lake / mountain thing is more of a deciding factor if your program is at a certian level. There obviously a lot less competitive football programs than bball, and Clemson has no natural advantage in recruiting in bball vs football, where warm weather plays a role.
Looks like Brownell has a solid class coming in, and the guard Devoe is the main person leaving. We should have most experienced team in ACC next year.
