Total yards?
We've played two games, you idiot.

Ok? Your offense still sucks... Not sure what point you are trying to make?

Nope

Didn't Driskel throw for over 300 yards against Miami?
291 yards, 1 td, 2 ints, 1 fumble.

Driskel makes too many bad decisions and we shoot ourselves in the foot A LOT with penalties. We are pretty deep at RB and while we didn't run all over Miami, it was our 1RB's first game back after a fight with a viral infection. If we can minimize mistakes, I think we'll be fine; otherwise, it will be a long season. Mett > Driskel and any one who disagrees is a homer.

I've sadly abandoned that campaign.
I'm still skeptical of Mett, though. Once an inconsistent choker always an inconsistent choker, I always say.

That "total yards" is a bullshite stat when most teams have played three games while we've played two?

As many here have said, if UF doesn't turn the ball over, they thump Miami.
If UF controls the turnovers, which they typically do, they will be in every single game they play this year. The offense is better than last year.
Anyone that has watched the games can tell that, it's just that UF had their one really bad game early this year (see UGA last year).
obviously, if UF continues to turn it over a lot, they will lose many games. But without the turnovers, they have a good enough offense, coupled with great defense and special teams, to be a legit contender for the SEC east.

Also they currently rank #64 in the country in total offense, which is way better than last year, and I think could actually get better as the season progresses.
Florida is a real sleeper team to win the SEC IMO, given how people feel about them now after that debacle in Miami.
The Miami game didn't paint a clear picture of how good or bad UF really is.
UF won't turn it over 5 times a game.
Edit - Also Jeff Driskel played a decent game outside of 4 or 5 really bad decisions in the Miami game which he needs to clean up.
For the season he is 39-55, 444 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT. So he is getting about 222 yards passing per game, which is way better than last year, and he is completing 70% of his passes.
Florida has a high ceiling this year if they can put it all together.

You can trace the demise of Florida's offense back to when Percy Harvin and Tebow left. Harvin left in 08. They still had a good year in 09 because of Tebow but since those two they have had a lot of problems throwing the ball. They have struggled to find a solid WR since Harvin.

Exactly Driskel forced to many throws. Hell if UF just settles for field goals they probably win.

Agreed, though that's almost always the case.
Of course, I've never seen anything like what I saw in Florida's turnoveritis in the red zone against Miami.
If UF gets even one of those back, they'd had won that game.

It was one of the unluckiest games I have ever seen.
Penalties in KEY moments that kept drives alive for Miami twice leading to TDs on defense, Vernon Hargreaves stepping one toe out of bounds on what would have otherwise been a INT return for a TD, multiple bad luck turnovers in the red zone, bad luck on offensive penalties too...
I mean, it was the perfect shite storm, even worse than the UGA game in 2012.
I doubt that happens again this year.

I never thought I would see the day a UF offense looks like this, it is mind blowing at times when you think about how UF football has been played for so long.
That said, I do think the Miami game will end up being the outlier. I think JD is better this year. He is taking heat for the turnovers (as he should), although really only the first INT was his fault. If the turnovers stay in check and the O can move the ball the way they have, I think as the season goes on, UF will surprise people and have a shot at getting to Atlanta.
It would be nice to come out Saturday and have a quality showing to get some confidence back in the team.

If Tennessee's offense can't move the ball, maybe the refs can move it for them.

Remind me alot of Bama in the early 2000's. Real good defense and just hope to get 13 points and win. Florida just needs to make sure the kicker has a dollar in his sock and everything should be just fine.

Most posting on this thread have no clue and haven't watched an entire UF game yet. I think the offense is improved over last year and we moved the ball at will the past two games.
Driskel is not the problem...there was plenty to blame for our issues turning the ball over and in fact Driskel was very effective protecting the ball last year minus the UGA game....and we had others turn it over then too.
We arent built for fireworks and a fast pace offense. Its defense and field position and time of possession. Im more than ok with it. If we don't turn the ball over we are powerful and can move the ball on anyone....we mix up our plays a lot and confuse defenses....but we cant turn the ball over five times and win of course.
Our defense is brutal and no one can block the combo of Easley, Powell and Fowler so far. Easley has blinding speed and quick enough to turn off the lights and jump into bed before it gets dark.
A lotta football left and we will see what happens.
