I don’t hate him, hell I don’t even know him. I think we will be alright between Daniels Mathis and Beck.

Neuman was awful when he played Clemson last year...I was at the game and he played scared. He wouldn’t have lasted a week in the SEC. Better for UGA that he left... you’re better off without him.
You may be right. It's hard to say. From what I understand he had several of his best WR's hurt, and let's face it.....more than one QB would probably be scared to face Clemson. Or maybe a better word is nervous.
His supporting cast was poor at their best. Take away his best receivers and....wow. Ugly with a long "U".

It'll certainly be interesting, for sure. Especially if Mathis gets the start.

I'm looking forward to the Auburn/Ky game. It'll be interesting to see how Morris changes the offense and how much better Nix gets.

Explain DK Metcalf being the 7th drafted receiver in his class despite clearly having the best potential (6’4”, sub 4.4-40. Scouts are supposed to evaluate on potential but they didn’t believe in Metcalf because he played on a bad team. As if there was something he could do about the defense giving up 40 points a game.
The NFL community (teams and scouts) didn't believe in DK bc of his spotty production, injury history, and poor agility numbers at the combine. There were some legit flags on his resume, even though the scouts have already been proven wrong.
Once the NFL gets a narrative on a player, it can tank their stock. It's an exercise in hive mind in that time between the Combine and the Draft.

I don't think Fromm had a tough job when running backs are putting up those types of numbers.
MSST: 9 completions.
Tennessee: 7.
Vanderbilt: 7.
Florida: 4.
Kentucky: 9.
I'm gonna go ahead and give that game ball to Michel and Chubb for "getting" you guys to the National Championship.

Chaney did a good job protecting the true freshman in 2017.
And to be fair to Fromm, he did an excellent job moving the chains on third downs and having successful plays by audibling at the LOS. It was limited, but it was successful.

No matter how you paint it: Having five games where you complete less than ten passes on the way to a National Championship means that you had more than sufficient help.
I'm in no way saying he was bad that year, but when you have a RB averaging 7.9, his counterpart at 6.0, a backup at 7.6 and Herrien at 5.9 yards?
Yeah, all Fromm had to do was not turn it over and hit the one on one since I'm positive most teams were stacked to stop the run. You guys had almost 4,000 yards of rushing. (3,876)
Just for perspective: Georgia had 2,602 yards rushing in 2019.

Interesting since both were on the team
in '16. Wouldn't ya say something changed when he took over the offense in '17?
BTW,how come you continually skip over the year he had '18 without those guys?
Posted on 9/15/20 at 3:32 pm to StrawsDrawnAtRandom
Yup.
Without Cager, Holloman, or Wims, Fromm couldnt push the ball downfield. Defenses only need to defend the first 10-12 yards off the LOS and we couldnt break big plays in the run game with our blocking scheme (pittman liked man ball for some reason. Block the guy in front of you).
We definitely suffered for it in 2019.

Are you under the impression we are fresh out of RBs?
quote:Since you are having a hard time understanding simple concepts...the point was that we went to the National Championship with a true freshman (Fromm) as our QB.

Come on Straws. Was it that hard to follow?
quote:Cool. If we make it this year you can give it to Zamir White and James Cook. Do you really think I care who gets the credit? We went with a freshman once, so it seems rather obvious that it could happen again.

There. I have said it twice in different ways. Maybe you can understand the thought process.
Sometimes I have a hard time telling if you are trolling or you really don't grasp simple concepts.

Nah, he realized Kirby Smart is a lying a-hole and he bolted. Just like Justin Fields. Smart has a way of running off his most talented QBs. Jamie was very talented to begin with but now UGA is good and fricked because at least he had experience.
So funny thinking about that David Pollack interview a few weeks ago here at 680 in Atlanta where he puffed Newman’s Peter for about 5 minutes. Throwing out things like “he can make all the throws, physical specimen. Chance to be special.” Lol so much for that!

Pretty incredible how insanely talented this kid became from the opinions of other fans after he left.

If Kirby can have a top 10 caliber team after this major set back, the haters are gonna struggle to ever think UGA is gonna suddenly suck again. The team he had after losing 28 senior starters was evidence enough that kirby is damn good at his job, but some of yall still doubt.

Lol, do you actually think the gnats will ever be relevant in ANY sport, EVER again.... The jealousy is real.....
