Ahh ... gotcha.
One side of Kyle Field---the "Former Student" side (west/pressbox) is depicted with the lettering, Welcome to Aggieland.
The opposite side--the "student" side (east) is depicted with the lettering, Home of the 12th Man.

Former Student side (left), Student/12th Man side (right)

Former. Student side

So one sideline is getting completely demolished but the other only had the lower level fixed? Correct?

2014 season: The east side of Kyle Field and the south end zone complex are expected to be complete (in time for the start of the 2014 football season).

Immediately following the 2014 season (same as what occurred this year), the opposite will take place: demolition/collapse of the north end zone and the west side (to include the addition of the suites and club).

2015 season: fully redeveloped Kyle Field opens.

This year/2014 is going to be nuts, that's for sure.

Sorry for being unclear.
All sides are being demolished in some way; but only first deck on east side (canopy being added).

Allegedly our NEZ bowl is breaking ground this spring. This is from multiple Arky board sources.

It should take permanent seating capacity to 78-80k, which will make the stadium expandable to 82-84k with SEZ temporaries for larger games.

Replacing this:

With this:

our north side "beautification" is 99% done now. i think they are still adding hardware to the tan posts like "LSU" that is backlit. still not 100% sold on the tan posts but whatever i guess. i think overall it looks pretty good.

I wish that I could say that it looks good, but I can't. I like the iron fence around the stadium and the new paint job, but the new gates look weird and the color of the concrete isn't even close to matching the stadium. The sliding gates are a cluster frick on game day as well. I guess there is only so much that can be done, but it looks like LSU did it half arse, like they do almost everything else.

I love my fellow aesthetes. Poorly designed or poorly executed architecture drives me nuts.

It amazes me how a fan base that claims to be so loud has to pipe in so much pop music.

This may have been addressed already, but how is Aggie conducting Spring ball? No official Spring Game in the stadium?

No clue. I'm assuming we get a waiver somehow or pay a fine, but I doubt that not having a spring game is possible.

Yes. Because the Nov 2012 LSU-bama game atmosphere and crowd noise was from piped in music. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

ESPN's Scott Van Pelt was on campus and in Death Valley for the game and stated afterward that it was the loudest and most memorable sporting event he had ever attended.

Tiger Stadium does NOT have to fricking 'pipe in music' to get the crowd going or to make the stadium 'louder.' That is monumentally imbecilic.
