It's exciting, no doubt.
I wonder if any conference has ever before had four large projects at four different schools, occurring concurrently like this?
It's a ton of construction.

Unlikely, and definitely not at the scale of what's going on in the SEC. It's impressive, to say the least.

Not only that but the SEC already is the cream of the crop when it comes to stadiums. Were just extending out lead and the lower/mid tier stadiums (State &Mizzou) are catching up with the big boys in other conferences.

Can any of the Tigers tell me how big the corner screens are?

We tried this in one of the construction update threads. One guy tried to use the height of a construction worker standing close by and a ruler to figure it out. I don't think we got very far though.

Well A&M's are 36 feet high by 54 feet wide. I wanted to compare. Olsen just got one, 27.6 feet by 49.2 feet before the season. I just wanted to see how they stacked up.

Images from June 2nd.
Still foundation work going on at Commonwealth. From what I hear they should be starting to raise the press box frame work soon. Photo updates have been limited at this point since most work has been internal demolition and foundation. (Only so many pictures you can show of them digging and removing concrete...)
Can't wait to see this though!
South Side Exterior:
Lower Bowl Interior/New Press box and Suites/Loge seating (South Side View):
Recruiting Room (Patio can be seen in endzone of above photo:
New Stadium Exterior and lighting(North Side):
Club Space at Loge Level:
Field Level Club Space:
Better look at Recruiting Room Patio:
Also the student section will now be exclusively in this end-zone shown above. Situated around the recruiting room and over the new team tunnel shown behind the goal post (leading to the new locker rooms). The students have in the past been in the lower corner section to the left in the photo above and also an area in the upper section of the north side, right above their stated lower section seats. Student ticket allotment will be decreased with this move.
While this is more of a renovation (not expansion since the total number of seats are in fact decreasing, 67,000 -> 61,000). I think it will greatly improve the game day environment. There is a lot more things being done besides what I've shown or listed above (much more interior and exterior updates). It will be a nice little stadium when complete, and then we start working on the new 45+ million dollar football facility that will be behind the east side end-zone (recruiting room side). Facilities are finally getting tended to at Kentucky. It's about flippin' time.

Good.
No wonder why y'all need more seats when y'all still have empty seats every game

I couldn't remember if you ever figured it out.

How are the expansion projects coming?

Never got the hate for the troughs. They can't be beat as far getting people in and out of a restroom.
yeah the trough is the most effecient pisser system that I have seen. I don't care if other guys can see my little pecker, I just want to piss and get back to the game
Plus with a trough you don't have to worry about peeing on the seat or putting the seat up or down....

We're still all geeked out about it and the butthurt from Austin has been strong ever since.
We can't tell you how much the home schedule has improved since leaving the BDF, the loss of Nebraska to the Big 10 was the final nail in that coffin.
My longhorn friends still refuse to even talk football... it's glorious. Now we just need to get good enough so you frickers regret ever inviting us to the party.
