It’s clear the coach at least dry humped his head for a couple seconds for sure. And that alone is inexcusable no matter what happened.
I don't think this is clear at all.

For the most part I agree, but you can’t really be defending the coach that is dry bumping a high school kids face? Or are you?

Gotta say that’s a bit uncalled for. I know people will say I’ve gotten soft, but those are 15-18 year olds.
My dad was an old school high school football coach from the 3 yards and a cloud of dust era, and I coached for 20 years.
Don't worry about being "soft." In no era or universe was the behavior of the coaches appropriate.

Regardless of what took place that set the events off, it’s clear the coach dry humped a high school kids face/head. No matter what happened, you don’t simulate a sexual act on a minor when your a coach. While this video is edited, there is no reason or explanation that makes humping a kids face ok!

Another video is supposed to show a coach "knocking a player down and ripping his helmet off,
The player was actually tackled by another player, that’s clear as day as you can see the other player getting off him. It’s also clear as day the coach ripped the helmet off the kid laying on the ground and threw it to the side.

This looks deliberately edited to make it look like "humping."
Now to the other coach that appears to be jumping his head. Maybe theirs another video that is longer that shows the coach actually trying to rip the shoulder pads off the kids body, considering the helmet went first. But either way, some mommy will be demanding a coach be fired or at least suspended for being “physically violent” with their baby. While I have no issues with grabbing a kids helmet and other issues at practice, they now days teach and tell coaches not to put hands on players anymore.
We live in a different world than we did just 25 years ago.

I bet you have ties to Hoover High in some fashion or know someone at that school right? Hoover High has been known over the years to hire coaches that “bend” the rules and are a public disgrace just so they can win football games.

Didn’t Trent Richardson just get hired at Hoover?

Agree...I was on a high school football staff from the early 70s until 1996....During those years we were tough...things you couldn't do today without parents...media etc coming down on you...But nothing like this video 'appears'...But I will wait until the whole story comes out before judging anybody.

Honestly that's nothing compared to my old HS coaches.

Might be HC now. $130,000 a year or more .

A lot of these players are recruited now. Not the neighborhood high school teams of yesteryear. We don’t know what was going on. Who knows If Hoover fires the coach they will go through many before the program settles down. Folks this is the premier 7a team in Alabama.

I looked it up Hoover has never played a Houston area team.

I want to know what everything thinks of a coach ripping a helmet off the head of a player and then another coach dry humping his head. I’m all for hard coaching and not developing pussies, but humiliating goes beyond “tough coaching”.
You don't know what happened. Maybe the player's head was on fire so the first coach ripped off the helmet and the second coach was trying to stop the flames.
I'd rather see a player get treated a little roughly than to die from fire.

He should be fired.

Played football as a youth, all the way through college from 92-2002….honestly looks like a quick drill and the defensive coaches were trying to get the player back up quickly. First one accidentally gets the helmet off and the other one, while appears to “dry hump” is actually pulling up on his shoulder pads to get him back up quickly.
Video is shitty so can’t tell. But if we want kids to be complete wussies, complaining and suspending coaches for this video is how we do it

Thompson and Central have taking that title now. Hoover is a blur. Recruiting is the name of the game and these guys are as dirty as it gets. Articles on Al.com about it. Been going on for years. Birmingham schools are so bad and the over the mountain schools go and pluck who they want and put them in apartments. Gulf Shores puts them in Condos. I heard Cottage Hill Christian RB transferred to Orange Beach. They got condos too. LOL

Yeah, and I have an SEC championship ring from my playing days. Most here (probably including you) didn't want any part of a college football field - just the stands.
There's no place for the actions of the coaches in that video.
