Honestly tired of QB controversy.

Tua staying would have made things obvious, but in a way I’m glad we will know where we stand for the next 2-3 years. However, the QB controversy is getting old imo. I wish we knew who the guy was and that he wasn’t being replaced etc. Even if Mac is good, there’s a chance he’s not good enough with BY behind him. It makes it stressfull.

Do you want to go back to having to just rely on the only competent guy and have zero chance of moving the ball if he is hurt?

I honestly like the old offense of ground and pound and our defense having more of a rest. Our defense hasn’t adjusted to scoring so quickly so big games come down to turnovers. Before our defense was just able to keep them off the field, but our defense was worse this year I realize.

I'm with you.

Bama's been one of those few teams that insist on a QB controversy when in reality they're usually isn't.

I think it's unnecessarily dramatic how Saban "says" the competition is always open even though it kinda isn't. I think he thinks it's going to push QBs to compete more than they already do.

If I was a Bama fan, that act would be tired right now especially with injuries on both sides of the ball. You always wonder if over-practicing or Saban trying to get the last inch out of every fricking thing has something to do with it.

Bama could use some QB controversy, interested to see how things start and finish next year. Prediction is Mac Jones starts the season and Bryce Young finishes it.

I'd rather have Mac Jones and Bryce Young fighting it out than no controversy and Spencer Pennington.

I seem to remember it being the same way when he was at LSU.

I'm glad we don't have to deal with that controversy. But, that's easy to avoid when you have the best QB in the conference...probably country by the time camp rolls around. :)

I don't think we have the o-line to ground and pound. I think sark got into a groove with Najee and the running game in the 2nd half of the season.

Always want to have more than 1 qb I think we are able to win with though - regardless of the offensive style.

If we have a freshman qb that is SEC offensive player of the year and the next year another true freshman that is even better, I think I can deal with it.

That wasn't a controversy, everyone knew that Brandon Avalos was the much better QB. Just ask Rodney Orr.

The last time yall had a QB do that, you sent him to the bench and then he transferred on to OU.

How many SEC HCs have lost their jobs because their QBs have sucked? The will spend millions hiring a DC or an OC, but rarely hire a real QB Coach.

That team had an ex and future NFL QB Coach as their head coach
