I seem to remember it being the same way when he was at LSU.

Even so, there are plenty of successful coaches out there who get plenty from their players without overdoing it and playing head games.

I'm glad we don't have to deal with that controversy. But, that's easy to avoid when you have the best QB in the conference...probably country by the time camp rolls around. :)

Congratulations!

Who'd y'all add to the team?

That team had an ex and future NFL QB Coach as their head coach

But he was bad at both. I am talking about a coach with a proven record at developing QB talent. You can only name a few over the last 25 years in the SEC. AU hasn't had one since Sullivan.

I'm not sure there are all that many of them anymore. QB used to be a developmental position in college, but now that developmental stage has mostly been pushed down to high school.

Which is the problem. CF is now a QBs league (just like the NFL), but teams are not paying QB Coaches to the level of that importance. I would like to see the stats on the pay of QB Coaches vs RB Coaches.

Do teams even have QB coaches anymore? Most of them are just packaged with "OC".

I know that Alabama did not have one after Kiffin for a few years until we hired Enos in 2018. We've been lucky and 1 great one (Kiffin) and 2 above average ones (Enos, Sark) in the last few years, but before that I'm pretty sure we didn't really have a true QB coach (Nussmeier and McElwain had it on their titles, I think).

I read somewhere that Georgia doesn't have one, but I could be wrong there.

Is that the norm on this website?

It certainly isn’t a Bama/A&M circle jerk like it is on your main board.

Welcome to the SECRant pal.
