Just the way it went down. Kiffin is great in many things, but leaving is not one of them. Tennessee and us will save you a spot on the couch, see you in few years.

What would have been a better way to do it?

Honest question. I see Ole Miss fans say this but what really would've been a "good" way of leaving?

I can't speak for the rest of the fanbase but I'm not going to melt if he leaves for a better job, especially after 6 years.

I want Weis to finish the playoffs, but don't care about any of the others. It's not like their replacements haven't already been hired.

Ok let me get this straight...... Ole Miss has coaches that are really LSU coaches. They are coaching Ole Miss, but their checks are from LSU ?

Ole Miss has replacement coaches on staff, getting paid by Univ of Mississippi, but they aren't coaching ?

That's pretty messed up.

There have been times during the seasons where the play calling inexplicably went to shite in key moments and we always assumed it was CWJ. I'm starting to believe it was actually Kiffin

Of course you are.

Charlie has been helping one of the premier teams in all of college football advance to the College Football Playoff Semifinal while putting on a play calling clinic. It's been a 3 week head coaching interview and ADs around the country are taking notice. Between coaches having major health issues and can't-keep-it-in-their-pants scandals every offseason he might be snatched up by someone before the Spring.

I remember a month ago most of the ole miss posters calling Weis coach “nepo baby” and basically said Lane had to take the reins ALOT because Weis didn’t know what he was doing.

That’s what we all thought for the past couple years but the offense has looked better than ever has the past 2 games.

Honesty. He did not need to come out and say he was leaving, but he should have refrained from painting himself as someone that was staying.

Lane plays games, and most anger probably amplifies from that.

Ole Miss gives LSU a better version of Kiffin, than what we started with. Lane should have had more grace with the community that helped him get a $100million contract. Our leadership and streamlined collective gave him a perfect environment.

Most LSU fans don't want an honest answer. They just want an opportunity to spew insanely stupid shite out there. It's insane at the level of lack of self awareness of this group.

His replacement is John David Baker. He was co-OC at Ole Miss from '21-'23. He's been at all the practices and meetings since he was hired and will continue running the same system. I want Weis to stay because he's the guy communicating with Trinidad. I wouldn't want to change that in the semi finals. I don't really think it matters who Kewan Lacy's running back coach is at this point in the season.

Sure, he's an immature troll but he's never stopped doing that.

Why did Ole Miss fans think he had "changed" but now say he didn't?

He never stopped trolling. Many Ole Miss fans said he was trolling LSU throughout the process.
