Our OL is soft, our WR's don't step up, and Our DC stopped bracketing Bowers in the second half.

We are not very good at this football thing yet under Hugh, and didn't expect us to be this year.

I'm going to disagree here. Gap control was awful against State resulting in big running plays by an injured State RB. Defensive line is definitely not elite. There's not one 1st day draft pick in that unit. They have a good defense but not elite.
Milroe looks improved but was still locking on the first read holding the ball and still runs to the right when he should be moving up in the pocket. A few of the sacks were his fault.
Running backs run hard but aren't elite.
Kickers are elite. Gonna be a tough game Saturday.

A&M isn't beating Ole Miss or Tennessee so the most they can do is throw the SEC West into turmoil with a win.

With the team apparently getting better, there's no one that I'm willing to pencil-in as an auto-loss right now. Doesn't mean that I expect to win out, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

O-line, play calling, injuries.

Inexperience on the online, poor communication on the oline, and apparently lack of strength as well are 90% of our problem. Issues there lead to a tired defense, poor field position, etc.

Play calling is head scratching at times, especially when we decide to go for it on 4th & 1.
Enos brought in a different offense, which in itself is not bad, but the offense has not gotten comfortable in it yet.

Injuries always cause more of a problem at Arkansas due to not as much quality depth as several teams we play. Always has been, always will be. We lost our best TE for the season in the first series of the game against aTm. He was a dependable weapon catching the ball, not just a smaller tackle. Best DB got a concussion. DE went down with a neck injury.

Not all of that is coaching faults. but some is.

Life in the SEC.

Secondary is still absolutely terrible. Will get exposed numerous times this year.

Game was never really in question, not too worried about a few big gains on the ground.

Well, that is your opinion.

The King has issues and is quite upset with himself...TO's, no run-defense, etc.

Yeah I agree. The gap control issues are correctable and hopefully won't see it this week. I think we will see this weekend if this group can get back to ATL. Win SAT and I don't see any reason they shouldn't win out. Lose and it might very well be the 8-4 or 7-5 Bama some are hoping for.

The offense scored a lot of points but we still aren't efficient enough. Joe is Joe, but you can't continue to put him into bad positions. Warren needs to be a bigger part of the offense now, and I'd go as far as to say that Tennessee shouldn't ever really leave 12 personnel because we can still afford to do a lot of formations with that.

I will compromise with you and say that we aren't elite yet, but we are looking like we could get there.

Secondary is actually better, talent wise.

LSU defense is pretty horrific but our offense is pretty damn good. We'll see how it plays out.

Amazing how poorly coached the defense looks. I really liked Matt House before this season. He has really shite the bed. We don't have elite talent everywhere, but we're A LOT more talented than what we're showing.

Do you watch the Van Hiles breakdowns? Because a lot of these "bad throws" are just Leary protecting his receivers from getting blown up or receivers making the wrong read.

I did say receivers are to blame too. It really doesn't matter who is at fault on one given play. We can't throw for 69 yards against Georgia and not get blown out.

In that example perhaps Robinson was supposed to know to stop if he sees the safety there. I don't know. It's not all on Leary, and I didn't mean to imply that. Lots of dropped ball, but as a team, they are struggling with any passes into the center of the field.

You'll have to excuse me, I was triggered by a Rivals thread in The Lair about how we picked the wrong QB between Leary and Mertz.

Like shite, Leary would complete 80% of his passes too if he was throwing it 3 yards every time.

I had hoped that the OL would step up this year... that has not proven to be the case.

I think Leary is a good QB, just not sure what really is the problem right now. If it's a confidence problem for both him and the receivers, then throw some safe quick outs, swing passes, etc to get them all in a rhythm some. Just seems our passing game is non existent now, and we can't beat Georgia without at least some.

I don't think we need 300 yards passing to win, but at least 150-200.
