Our coach lacks the ability to instill any energy or intensity in our team for road games when 90k Gator fans aren't there to do it for him. Thus we always look lazy and undisciplined on the road compared to home games.

He's also a terrible OC.

LSU: Every game is gonna be a shootout At least the games will be fun to watch. Despite the poor result Saturday, I think we can beat anybody on the schedule if the defense ever puts it together. As it stands I expect to lose to two of Missouri, Texas A&M, and Alabama. We’re lucky that Florida is also awful right now and that we get Auburn at home.

OU: We’ll see what we’re worth next week. So far we’ve just overwhelmed outmatched teams. Done what we were supposed to do—which tells you nothing really. I think we’re still a year behind Texas, but we definitely could win this one. Even if we don’t we should have a smooth ride the rest of the way IMO. I would be surprised if we went any worse than 9-3 even with a loss to Texas.

Our QB's can run.

We have a defense.

We fought hard.

...bout it

Clearly another alter. We're riding shotgun in the West at the moment. We don't get to drive until we beat Bama. Even then, there are a lot of tough matches still to be played. Tap the brakes.

I believe in the week 3 version of this thread, I said that if Ole Miss can get healthy offensively, they can beat anyone on their schedule. Ole Miss got 2 of their 3 missing pieces back against LSU to almost full health. I think the LSU game validated that although it opened up more questions about the defense.

It's a real shame the Bama game fell where it fell.

Play calling was awful. Not putting this on the players, not even the O-line. Yet another 4th and 1 from the shotgun. Punt the ball and we may have been up after the pick 6. It doesn’t feel like it but our defense didn’t allow a TD in the 2nd half. Enos has to go and as much as it pains me to say it so does Pittman. Great guy and got us out of the Chad hole for a time, but headed back there.

Our offensive line had it's first good game of the year. Not sure if that was improvement or Florida's D issues.
Ray Davis is who we thought he was.

But he can only carry us so far without some semblance of a passing game. Leary struggles with accuracy expecially in traffic or just inside the lines, and our receivers either don't trust him or just are unsure of themselves and are dropping a lot of easy balls.

Georgia is up so we will see if 5-0 is justified or we just have had an easy schedule.

Defense is looking elite. All units looking great the last 3 games. Really the whole season outside of like 1 or 2 quarters. This is probably about as good as we have felt about the defense since 2017.

Offense is gelling. Milroe is starting to get (a lot of) yards with his legs when he is supposed to, and dump it off underneath when he is supposed to. He can obviously throw a great deep ball, but he is starting to consistently hit the intermediate stuff accurately as well.

Oline is also starting to gel and get better.

Running game looks to be fully capable of wearing teams down.

Mistakes have been cleaned up.

That said, the game this weekend will be tough, A&M has a good team, and they have a big stadium. Should be fun to watch.

Do you watch the Van Hiles breakdowns? Because a lot of these "bad throws" are just Leary protecting his receivers from getting blown up or receivers making the wrong read.

I don't think Napier is going to work out. He may get another year with an OC hire but next year's schedule is brutal too. Going to be a loooong year and a half for Gator fans

The defense has played surprisingly well but been put in untenable positions far too many times.

The OLine is a blight in the Lord's eye.

The Dan Enos system simply does not work without a good OLine and we can't make adjustments.

KJ has, apparently, hit his ceiling as a QB. Tremendous physical specimen but he only plays well when we have the craptacular LSU defense on the field.

As to our coaching staff... it appears Pittman has done all he can do here. Enos would be lethal as the OC on a team with a decent line, here he's the kiss of death. Our OLine coach should be fired for cause. Our DC has done a tremendous job of making chicken salad out of chicken sh^t and when we hire a new coaching staff someone needs to snap him up post haste.

My revised prediction for the season is 5-7. We come out of the Bataan Death March part of our schedule and get a lot of teams with major issues. The team rallies but we are in too much of a hole to make a bowl game.

Sam has only two players left from the Chad years on the OL.

Enos doesn't have the OL to have his offense to work as it was recruited for the veer offense. It doesn't help he doesn't have as many as RPOs as Briles did.

Sam made a poor decision to bring in in a different offense that requires growing pains in his fourth year.

Not a smart decision and it shows his lack of experience running an offense.

He did fine at Maryland which had a good OL but at Miami, it was a bad OL and the offense tanked.

A&M isn't beating Ole Miss or Tennessee so the most they can do is throw the SEC West into turmoil with a win.
