The irony and shame in all of this is that the Lady Vols will likely lose their sixth in a row Thursday night on national TV during the launch of the annual “I Back Pat” effort.
I was a huge PHS fan. She was an incredible woman. She was also incredibly competitive woman. I’m torn as to how I believe she would be reacting to all of this were she still alive and capable given Holly is one of her own.
I suspect she would pat Holly on the back, thank her for her effort and bench her for a better coach. I have a feeling that is what Fulmer is going to do as well.
Fulmer will likely go after Nikki McCray. She played for PHS, she coached for years under Dawn Staley at SC and she is a proven winner and can be bought away from Old Dominion where she has worked wonders in a very short time. At least Fulmer would be smart to hire Nikki McCray.
Holly has a #1 class on the roster right now who have quit on her .... unless she just turns it around and makes an incredible run, she’s probably done.

It’s okay vol fans you could be like OU fans and have to deal with mrs coale for another year because we have a great young team and we played UConn close. We might not even make the tournament and we shouldn’t of made it last year.

This is the longest losing streak for the Lady Vols since 1970...they only started playing basketball (modern era) in 1960...and they didn't record results between 1960-1968.
Summitt was hired prior to the 1974 season. The coach before Summitt had a 60-18 record (1971-1973). Holly is dipping into some truly historic levels of bad coaching.

Nope...lost in the 2nd round...just like the year before. Holly has never made a final 4 as Head coach.

I wonder when ladies like Sue Bird will try their hand at coaching rather than playing.
I could see UT trying to lure Matthew Mitchell from UK back to the fold. Isn't he from the Pat Summit coaching tree?

I don’t care about this. If you replace the coach, just find someone cheap who won’t have the NCAA investigating.

Just looked her up. She has a 73% overall win percentage as a head coach, has won the SEC three times and been to the dance every year as the Vol's head coach.
I know Summitt is a hard act to follow. My mom is a UT alum so I grew up with a healthy dose of PHS fandom. But one bad season shouldn't be fireable with her track record.
Ya'll are behaving the way Alabama fans will behave after Saban retires. Just think on that.
