Lars Anderson @LarsAnderson71 According my people in Nebraska, the next head coach of the @Huskers basketball team will be Fred Hoiberg. This is firm and final.

Rumored $4M/yr. In Lincoln, that’s like $8M in Los Angeles.

Only SEC related in that he would have been a target for most of the teams who are coach shopping.

Props to Nebraska for knowing who they want and landing him before their season has even concluded.

I think he'll create a carbon copy of what he did in Ames. They have a beautiful new arena, have had pretty good fan support, same region, will target the same types of transfers, etc.

Yeah. It doesn’t take much to keep Lincoln excited about basketball. They’re happy to be in the NIT.

He could probably retire from UNL.

I'm just surprised he settled that quickly. You ultimately don't know what jobs will open up until early April.
