Well, at least you only included our more recent fails.

He has too much going against him and would crash the program like he did at Louisville.

What is hilarious is that y’all were so far up Long and Bert’s arse back then and we all knew Bert was a charlatan. Yeah I know Gus this and Gus that but at least that clown won an SEC championship.

Nutt was an idiot and would find a way to lose that game regardless.

Nutt was an odd one, he had the weirdest knack for doing the exact wrong thing at the exact wrong time. Trying to put the game on ice in the third quarter with a one TD lead. Deciding that right now, with momentum totally on our side, is the perfect time for a triple reverse throwback pass. Watching Matt Jones scamper for 80 yards on the option and declare "well shite we better not do that again!"

He had some really talented teams and underachieved with them all. But somehow, like clockwork, every two years or so he'd win one big game and ensure that his contract would be renewed.

I doubt that, considering he was a lousy recruiter.

Petrino has issues when it comes to building and maintaining a program. Whether he could have gotten past that Arkansas is another big what if question.

I seriously doubt it. Look at what happened at his second stint at Louisville as an example. He just has a negative dark cloud that rains on him at every place he goes to.

He is good at game management, play calling and player development but his recruiting was starting to get bad before he was fired.

Nutt lasted longer than he should have because of four key factors. Frank Broyles, Arkansas boosters, Matt Jones and Darren McFadden. He would have lasted five years tops without them.

Nutt could have been head coach at Nebraska, all he had to do was get on the plane but he was talked out of it.

He could have but he wouldn't have been able to meet the higher expectations at Nebraska.

History of the SEC series was on again yesterday and they had the fumble, opened all kinds of wounds with fresh pain.

Don't put yourself through that man. Life is to short to relive that.
