Oxford and batesville are about to get slammed . That's what should hit Bama later. Those storms were originally headed northeast, then took a sudden turn and started heading east.

Severe weather enthusiasts in Georgia have to be the most frustrated people. It's like there's an invisible wall at that Alabama/Georgia state line where storms rapidly weaken. Alabama has confirmed 41 tornadoes from the April 15th outbreak and Georgia barely had any at all.

I'd gladly take the lower threat. Arkansas, extreme North Louisiana, most of Mississippi, most of Alabama and most of Tennessee are notorious tornado areas and the deadliest area in America for severe weather deaths.

I suppose we are not out of the woods yet. Severe T'Storm warning now issued for Washington County til 9:15. Storm contains damaging hail, wind, & lightening.

Flood warning has also been put back on for our area.

I think they're going to be right this time. Everywhere northwest of about a Columbus, GA to Athens, GA line is under a moderate risk. Alabama was under a moderate risk last April 15. Areas like Rome and Dalton, GA are included in the high risk. I'm a little afraid of what could happen today across parts of MS, AL, TN, and GA.

Stay safe. During my time living in AL I could never get used to those sirens.

I was more comfortable facing hurricanes than twisters after seeing what they could do seemingly out of no where.
