Looked at the replay on youtube. At first glance, Tennessee looks slow to me, at nearly every position. I've read that Pruitt wants to play power football and the team has bulked up during the offseason. Not sure if that's the case, but if so he may have been better off trying to fit scheme to players instead of the other way around.

Acting like anything more than 10 years ago really matters is more indicative of stupidity than any typo or grammatical error on a message board. Meanwhile, while you dust off the history books and pine over the days of Peyton Manning and Tee Martin, Vanderbilt is gonna score 40 on UT for the 3rd time in a row.

Until UT gets more SEC talent...some elite talent and some more explosive play makers on offense we will be in the bottom 4th of the SEC. Just the way it is. UT went 4-8 last year for a reason....If Pruitt was 100% honest he'd say he figured that out about 9 months ago.

Will Grier is a tough matchup for anyone. You seemed to play with enthusiasm and toughness - a good start. JG has the respect of any decent football fan. Hope he has the chance to have some success before he leaves. IMO, Pruitt is a smart football coach but I thought it would take a miracle for you to make it to a bowl this year. WVU OOC and Alabama (you've never whined about Bama being your annual West opponent) and Auburn from the West. UGA, Mo, SC and now maybe UF from the East. Even UK and Vandy are not bad. It's a tough time to be rebuilding in the SEC. Everyone has money and is willing to spend it on football. At least your in state talent is mushrooming. Best wishes.
