He's still somewhat on those subjects

Bama lost their Hobbit and now their empire is collapsing.

Not bad.

Should we hire your hobbit again and build our 3rd empire?

Or are you on the he sucks bandwagon still?

He is 23 years old. Would you describe a 23 year old male as a:
1) Old man
2) Middle aged man
3) Young man

4) Old enough to know better

This type of behavior seems like a continuing issue. The "handling it internally" never really nipped it in the bud, did it?

Alabama went undefeated in 2009 and won a national championship.

If I am a HC with Bama on my schedule. I'm telling my guys to headhunt Moore early. Melt him down in the 1st quarter.

When the team captain melts, the rest of the team will follow suit.

This is tame by their standards.

Yep, I remember getting my number to teabag LSU fans back in 2011. I saved the stub and framed it on my wall.

The best part was the apology. He probably didn’t even know you could hyphenate words.

The kicker is that I’m not specifically talking about “the Alabama fans“ or even the coaching staff. But unaffiliated sports talk people in general. (Or specifically, 680thefan, here in Atlanta. ) Who have no dog in that fight as it were.

I don’t know if it’s an Alabama thing or if it’s subtle deference of the NIL era. I just know that it’s weird.

I agree to a point. A public handling of this issue would have gone a lot further in making the fanbase feel like the program is in firm control.

That said, there is probably a lot of validity to what DeBoer said about Malachi Moore being key in the transition from the Saban era. If Moore really was that supportive and was instrumental in keeping players onboard, what kind of message would it send to the team if DeBoer didn't accept his apology and humiliated him even more than he had already done to himself?

Somebody was going to be unhappy either way it was handled.

I'm not talking about on-field success.

I'm talking about the false narrative about Saban being a leader of men. He enabled all of the bullshite in the name of winning.

Completely unsurprising that you idiots missed the point entirely.

Rolando McClain pushed an official in the 2009 Virginia Tech game. He was a true junior and a captain. He wasn't ejected and Saban did not suspend him for his actions, but handled it internally.

And how did that turn out....

You proud of your team’s captain acting like a toddler pitching a tantrum on national tv?

I’m sure you’d like us all to believe that he’s just “passionate”. Sure. Whatever.

My point though, which you clearly missed, is how I am noticing a pattern amongst sports talk radio, where they literally repeat each other’s lines as it from a script. “He’s young…”.

Chronologically he may be, but give me a break! He isn’t “football” young. 23 yr old Sr, 4 years at Alabama, under the best coaches, team captain, praised as a leader.

Cope as you wish.

You don't know shite about Rolando. I do, known him since he was a kid. He grew up where I grew up, although I'm a good bit older. The absolute best thing that ever happened to him was going to Alabama and being under Saban. It gave him structure and the discipline he desperately needed.

I firmly believe he would be in prison if not for Saban. You are just talking out of your arse trying to push a bullshite narrative. Just another dipshit wanting public forms of punishment for your own entertainment, not for what benefits the people involved.
