Crazy stat…since winning the National championship in 2019 LSU has lost 11 games. Since 2008 Alabama has a total of 18 losses…WOW…credit to @codykirk22

That's the difference between a good program and a blue blood.

That's being kind. A good program sustains good seasons even with no Championships.

2019 was complete dumb luck. LSU is not a good program. They had a few good players and coordinator one year.

More like the difference between Nick Saban and Ed Orgeron.

OSU is the only other blue blood anywhere close to Bama’s level of sustained success right now.

To be fair it’s more like the the difference between a good program and the greatest college football dynasty of all time.

LSU's a very good program. Its biggest negative is external: having to compete in the SEC West with Saban (not Alabama... Saban).

Auburn post title was still worse.

They went 11-14 after winning the title.

A good program does not produce back to back losing/.500 seasons. They are nowhere near being a good program.

This stat?

Or

LSU is crazy for firing it’s national championship coach two years after natty?

Which one is it? Because it can’t be both

No...no it's not.

not Alabama

It's Alabama...with Saban.

Saban has never replicated 6 Championships in 15 years.
Alabama has.

A good program wins a national title with each of its last three coaches.

Jesus, this is a frickin' dumbass comment. How many coaches spend 15+ years at a bunch of different programs? He's not Methuselah.

The only real difference between Saban's tenure at Bama and, say, LSU and Michigan State is that he went to Tuscaloosa with championship and NFL credibility on his resume that he didn't have anywhere else - and then stayed there. He was established and tired of the U-Haul life.

Saban stays at LSU he's the Bear Bryant of that program and Alabama probably would be lucky to have an SEC championship from 2007-2020 with whoever the hell else they might have hired in 2007 and afterwards.

When Saban leaves and you lose eleven games in two years you’ll still be doing threads about being a blue blood. From 1982- 2008 , with the exception of 3/4 years ( obviously Stallings had the one great year ) Alabama was mostly hot garbage. Enjoy the mountaintop and remember there is nowhere to go but down.

Exactly.

Who is gonna match stats with a Saban Bama?

But the fact that OP felt the need to post to compare says it all.
