Thanks for posting the entire contract, V&S. I read every word. Found a glitch and am contacting Schiano's attorney so that he can sue UT. Problem is UT has no money left.

At least Schiano gets to keep his dignity.

Welp, that settles it. Time to pack up and go home

That’s the same doh yousign service here that we use at my company.
I bet it was just sitting in somebody’s inbox to sign and they didn’t get to it before it got leaked. Then backlash happened out of the Tennessee alumni happened.

Hmmm. I see no notation that all signatures are required for the MOU to be binding and legal. Call the lawyers!!!

"Governed by the laws of the state of Tennessee"... pretty much covers what they need. GS is boned. Moral of the story... always be the *last* required party to sign a contract when you have the most riding on it.

I would sue them if I was him.

If currie has no signing authority, why does he even have a place for his signature? To waste everyone's time?
To show he's on board...I can definitely see if he's the hiring manager needing to sign to acknowledge that's his guy, even if there's no legal need to do so.

IMO he is going to get paid.
Even if the AD did not have authority to make it a binding contract, if Schiano reasonably assumed that he did and took action based on that then he may have a case.
If I'm here, I get a lawyer and most likely UT will simply settle the thing out of court.

Well, there's the verbal agreement, then there's the offer presented by UT showing there willingness to uphold the verbal and asked the party to commit...he signed and agreed....and now UT is saying "sike, we tricked you"?
LOL, a judge is not going to be happy about that.

Just had an Attorney on Nashville Sports talk who said UT will start at zero, CGS will start at $20m and it will be settled under $10m.
CGS left with the understanding that Currey was a legal representative of UT capable of signing it as there was in print, a place for him to sign the MOU.
