The Wade and the Coach O parts are totally different. Wade is clearly a cancer to the program, and cheats as a fundamental pillar of recruiting. LSU deserves a lot better than him. Coach O is someone I have a lot of respect for. Sure he got caught up in the moment after LSU beat BAMA; it was a huge win for their program in a great football season. Get over it; it was emotion. I understand the football player and the sexual assault issue. O was not the head coach at the time, and I have seen nothing to substantiate he was even aware of the matter. The football part is about a booster paying a player, and a former player giving out money after the last championship game. Both those are nightmares for coaches, because those are the choices of idiots to damage a program while the coach is trying to build and maintain a winning program. The only potential large concern is if the NCAA, who I have no respect for, tries to link the incidents into one matter like was done in the Kansas case. It should not happen to LSU, to link the cases, and I don’t think they have anything to worry about regarding the football program.

And yes, I bleed crimson and white. But I have great respect for LSU’s football program. I don’t know a coach out there that loves his program more and is happier to be where he is than Coach O does. You can’t help but love the guy. He’s part of what’s great about college football.
