However, "sailgating" -- as locals call it -- is the best way to do it up in the Pacific Northwest. On the east side of the stadium, people tailgate on multi-million dollar yachts. During the months of August and September, fans will not only be drinking on the boat but also in the ocean.

Have an upvote, this sounds pretty amazing

The grove is a mosquito death trap where you get to watch poor people trying to live beyond their means. Yeah it’s great.

The Grove

No open flames, no open containers, no drinking games, chandeliers and cold chicken fingers.

Never did nor will I ever get the appeal.

Oh don't forget locks on the ice chests. Perfectly sums up the hospitality you'll get at Ole Piss.

Walk around LSU on a game day and it's basically an open bar/buffet at 95% of the tailgates.

Sorry Ole Miss but LSU is in a league of its own. Nobody tailgates better than LSU. End of story...

For mercy sakes…. Do not walk around Oxford with a beer in your hand. Put it in a cup.

YES. We walked a quarter of a mile to buy beer (none offered after walk thru the unfriendly fan base at the Grove). Jack arse cop made us poor it out because you could see the label thru the bag…wouldn’t even let us give it to someone with a rolling cooler.

2012 Auburn and 2019 UGA on the other hand…GREAT fanbases. Ole Miss should take notes.

Totally agree with comment above likening the grove to an overcrowded outdoor wedding reception.

PSA to anyone going to a game there: just stay in Memphis both nights if you can’t get a hotel in Oxford. We stayed at America’s Best Value Inn in Senatobia night after the game. YIKES - surprised we weren’t raped in the parking lot.

World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party should get it's own mention.

The grove is definitely a spot worth experiencing but it is just not for me, the best thing I can compare it to is an overcrowded outdoor wedding reception

Pretty good comparison. Great scenery but not much else to write home about. And by the end of the game those poor girls are walking around barefoot with their heels in their hands because their feet hurt so bad.

Wisconsin is a blast. Great Fall weather for tailgating and football. The campus is built right by a lake. I have been encouraging my two younger kids to apply there when its time to apply to colleges.

I'm surprised we're ranked. Maybe the campus police stopped cracking down so hard on open containers.

Like most of the OP's ranking posts, it's from MSN. MSN isn't exactly known for sports. They're known for clicks.

That's what I was going to say. I went with my buddies who are LSU grads to their game in Austin against UTx a few years ago. The Utx tailgating scene was awful. Thought their stadium sucked too.
