One of the big topics of conversation in the SEC this week has been the claim that Tennessee pumps in the crowd at Neyland to make the environment even louder than it really is.

Earlier this week, Vols AD Danny White disputed the allegations, but others have since chimed in about the subject, including former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, who says they "100%" pump in fake noise.

He should be more worried about what his next chest tat is instead of slandering Tennessee after a loss

The way some schools get away with this is by using mics to amplify their bands, and leaving the mics live during the entire game so that it picks up the background crowd noise as well. Florida used to do that back in the day. I'm not sure if they still do. LSU has never done it.

This is what Tennesse does, they amplify the band and conveniently leave the mics open after the band stops playing. They have speakers all around the perimiter of the field and I am sure other places, sneaky!

Juuuuust now we are saying this.

Didn’t say it when they were beating Tennessee.

But when the Ws turned to Ls, let’s say they pumped in noise.

Weak as hell, yall.

Probably only noticed it the past 2 visits because the crowd wasn't a factor after the first quarter since the 2006 game. There wasn't any crowd noise to amplify!
