So did Palmer, but the CFP poll will not.
Both improved their records. Nothing changed for UTk to jump Bama.
And, like McElroy, Herbie tries hard to avoid being a Homer. But, I bet if it is between Bama and the Buckeyes in the final poll, and Bama gets the nod, Herbstreit will walk away from the desk in disgust again off camera.
It will almost certainly be UGA, UM, TCU, USC, tOSU, Bama on Tuesday.

Both are 10-2 and Tennessee beat Bama straight up. It would be a complete joke for Bama to make it in.

Straight up may be an exaggeration.
It was at home with a field goal as time expired. It isn't as straight up as the comment implies when you are trying to gauge which is the better team.

A loss is a loss. No excuse.
But, the CFP committee has already decided the UGA and USce losses were worse than LSU and UTk losses for Bama.
They won't jump Bama. And, neither should be in the CFPs.
