So, I think he will continue to put up 5.5-6 YPC, like he has all season, which will not lead to "gaudy" numbers.

We'll see. It kind of depends on how Neon Treon does honestly. Florida's rush D is not a joke. Fournette had a game that was about the same against them as Henry did the other night and some people on here were questioning him .

my point isn't stupid though. these kinds of things often decide the heisman. which was exactly the case for Johnny football.

Yes, it is. You're arguing that Fournette may not win it because of one game, which is stupid.

If Fournette doesn't win it, it will be because he gets outplayed for the remainder of the season by one of the other contenders. End of discussion.

it's not just one game though. it was the biggest game of his career.

if he doesn't win it, it will literally be because of how he performed on that stage.

it's part of his legacy now.

It's not just one game, except it was just one game?

Now you're just speaking in gibberish.

this is college football. this is the heisman. some games are more important than others.

especially with something as subjective as the heisman. and in fournettes case, he literally could not have had a worse night on the biggest stage he will ever play on at lsu.

No one talks about the 3 shitty game Bo Jackson had in his heisman year. They remember the standout games he had.

You're putting way too much stock into this one performance.

Dude, I will say this one more time to see if you can comprehend it.....

It.will.not.matter.if.Fournette.outperforms.the.other.contenders.for.the.remainder.of.the.season.

not as much as much as they'll remember the night he didn't get off the bus in the biggest game of his life.

No, I just understand how the world works and that most people don't have kneejerk reactions to one game.

Something you clearly cannot claim.

All Saturday did for LF was allow others to get into the talk. If LF would have rushed for over 100yds and at least 2 TDs the discussion would be over and LF would be the frontrunner without any doubt. Saturday allowed players like Henry and whoever else have a say now.

What will also hurt now is if UA wins out. Henry will get an extra game on the big stage once again in front of the voters while LF is at home. Actually the OSU RB should as well and Baylor WR since they play a regular season game in December.

When the voters try and determine who it should be it will come down to the eye test. And who they see last along with who did what in the big games will be the deciding factor in the end. Stats will not be in LFs favor if he plays one less game especially considering LSU already will have one less in the end. Is it fair probably not but it is what it is.

Also after I saw Saban keep Henry in until the clock ran out and kept running him over 200yds I believe Saban is going to keep Henry in the talk by letting him get the ball. So the stats will be there.

This is the thing though, they won't remember it if he shows it was the exception, not the rule.

Seriously man, this isn't that hard of a concept to grasp.

they absolutely will. that's why you're seeing him in 4th place on lists like the SI one posted above. no one gives a shite about his numbers against shitty teams if he's gonna shite the bed when it matters most. he's a great player but what happened Saturday is now and forever part of his legacy as an LSU great.
