Well;

There's only 1 QB in the SEC that is the MVP of both a National CFB semi final game and MVP of the CFB Championship game

And

QB of the defending NATIONAL CFB CHAMPIONS....

I'll let the rant figure out who that is.....

That oline was loaded with talent and lots of returning guys from the best oline of 2020.

All-American talent left tackle Evan Neal, who was drafted in the top 10 of the NFL Draft, as well as super senior right tackle Chris Owens who is now out of eligibility.

The center position was a revolving door kind if, but Ekiyor was a stud as well. He was named to the preseason All-SEC First Team by the media at SEC Media Days this year and was also named to the preseason Outland Trophy watch list, for the nation's best interior lineman.

Bama recruits line talent like no other team in the nation besides now maybe UGA. Cry me a freakin river.

You missed the point of my post. I specifically said he doesn't have the gaudy numbers of the other guys. Is he the most skilled QB in the league? No. But he's perfect for our system and I wouldn't trade him for another quarterback in the country.

WTF are you talking about

#17 pick - Alex Leatherwood (LT)
#37 pick - Landon Dickerson (C)
#193 pick - Deonte Brown (G)

Ekiyor and Neal were fine.

Owens was a disaster. Dalcourt and Cohen were average at the very best.

The stats speak for themselves. The O-line was horrid last year.

You left off W-L and one of them played in significantly bigger games. Those TDs are similar you say?

W/L is just about the dumbest possible barometer for judging QBs. Are you a full-blown retard?

Yeah, they aren't entirely. Hooker's TD/INT ratio is considerably better -- learn math -- and if you are referring to Young's TD total vs. Hooker's TD total, you might want to look at the difference in the number of games they played and thus snaps they took and thus passes they attempted. Remember that Hooker only played 11.5 games. Young played 15.

Hooker: 302 attempts for 31 TDs == 1 TD pass for every 9.7 pass attempts.

Young: 547 attempts for 47 TDs == 1 TD pass for every 11.6 attempts.

Which one is better, smart guy?

So, you are right, the TD #s aren't really that similar. I stand corrected. Hooker's are considerably better.

It's hard to keep track of all of Bama's 5 star lineman. Let's go pull up a 247 composite talent ranking of that oline please.

Relevance? I mean, do ppl on this board derive pleasure out of making terrible arguments?

Should we start compiling a list of CFB National Championship QBs who weren't worth their weight in dog shite?

You wouldn't know a horrible oline to save your life. You Bama fans are literally the spoiled rotten rich kids of CFB.

Get back to me when you go through one year of a rising star coach who then abandons you for his dream job followed by multiple years of Dooley, Butch and Pruitt if you want to see what truly bad line play can look like.

This is a worse take than A&M celebrating their top 25 ranking this week.

quote:

It's unclear to me why Bryce Young is getting all the Heisman buzz. Hendon Hooker is objectively better than him at football.

Last season:
Hooker: Comp%: 68 Y/att: 9.7 TD: 31: Int: 3 PER. 187
Young : Comp%: 67 Y/att: 8.9 TD: 47 Int: 7 PER: 167.5

Same story this season: Hooker has better numbers across the board.

Before anybody chimes in with "But but but....QBR", I think QBR is some abracadabra shite someone at ESPN came up with when they were tripping balls on shrooms. And I'm not anti-analytics, either. A big fan of data analytics, as a matter of fact, but QBR strikes me as a bit too contrived, and I'd say that even if Hooker's QBR rating was the best.

Are you obtuse????, Bennett was the MVP of both the semi final and final, he fukkin earned those awards by the way he played ON THE FIELD, so he is obviously worth his weight in gold to UGA fans...

That was right after you had Gene Stallings as your coach and didn't even last that long. After Saban leaves we are going to help send you to a MUCH worse level of dark ages than that. Hell even Shula won 10 games there. Something that Dooley, Butch and especially Pruitt failed to sniff.

It all starts this year Gumps.

You literally just went from "Alabama always wins even with bad coaches" to "you can't win without Saban" and back to "Alabama always wins" in the same paragraph.

That's impressive, even for you crunchy.
