It is a bit harder to distinguish. But at a public event involving rival teams, colors are actually speech. I don’t think cutoffs and tank tops qualify as such.
And judges absolutely cannot ban political candidate buttons in chambers. We’ve fought that one out.

No it actually doesn't. A ticketed event institutes a revokable contract in which the host has the right to remove someone for not following thier rules. Free speech is based in being arrested or prosecuted for using free speech not being thrown out of a football game.

Some people are failing to realize that if the Ole Miss Athletic Foundation were to have made the statement, this would be a 1A non-issue because it is a 501(c)(3).

How is restricting access to a student section banning free speech?
You have entry to the stadium and the ability to ticket a seat anywhere else in the stadium.
You think they will let you demand your free speech in the press box or with the stadium announcer?

There is nothing preventing a public institution from releasing these rules, but if they (the public institution) enforced it, it would be a different story.
