Again, that's just a dumb narrative to conclude who had a better year. And I'm not even arguing Tua vs Cam, but that's silly.
How many points better was Auburn with Cam than an average QB? How many points better is Alabama with Tua than an average QB?
Auburn without Cam is probably 14 points worse. For Auburn, that meant the difference in 13-0 and 6-6.
Alabama without Tua is probably 14 points worse. For Alabama, that means the difference in 15-0 and the national title 13-1 and some meaningless bowl.

Maybe, maybe not. Do we beat State with Jalen at QB? Do we beat LSU with Jalen at QB? Probably just barely like we did last year. Instead, Tua is at QB and beat them like red headed step children. Can you not see the difference there? With an average QB Alabama was struggling with good defenses and barely winning. With Tua we win those games by an average of 27 points.
It's not a hard concept.

Cam was worth 14 points. Tua is worth 14 points. Adding Cam's 14 points to games mattered in most of the games. Adding Tua's 14 points matters in the biggest games.
