Because we would not be undefeated at the end of the season. This team without Tua and with the other options would probably lose to Georgia, probably lose to Michigan and definitely lose to Clemson.
Tua is worth roughly 10-14 points against a Top 5 team compared to what we trotted out before. Maybe more.

Yes it does. Your entire premise was that Cam meant more to his team because without him, you would not have won the national championship. Same can already be said for Tua.

Nah, we lost with Jalen and then looked awful the 1st half against Georgia just to have proof to show everyone how awesome Tua really is........for discussions like this.

If the rest of our players were suckier and we were playing closer games and barely winning WITH Tua then we'd lose 4 to 5 games without Tua too.
Instead we have other good players and instead of just sort of beating the shite out of teams really, really beat the shite out of teams.

That’s bullshite though. That is only true if you count seasons with ties as “undefeated” which is just tacky and disingenuous.
Take this out and your total is almost cut in half. That’s why no one brings it up very often.
