Will depend on how many voters sent their ballots in early with Tua as their #1 pick.

I think his performance on the big stage against UGA will cost him the Heisman. He will be the favorite next year. Heck of a player, but I would vote in the order you have listed.

Murray
Tagovailoa
Haskins

Yep, congrats to Murray, he had a great season. He's a worthy winner for sure.

We'll see him in Miami.

whyyyy don't you do that thread? This thread had nothing to do with National Championships. Maybe you should stop taking internet posts about great players so serious that you get rustled by them.

Have to admit I’m kind of mixed on this. Definitely want it for Tua for him to win the Hesiman. On the other hand wouldn’t mind having the Bama defense get to spend the next few weeks hearing about Heisman winner Murray being better than their guy Tua.

And the fact that it negates any of that fuel from Oklahoma, who would surely use it.

Is OU’s defense even capable of using it though?

The other silver lining if Murray wins it is that he’s the one doing the talk show circuit. Tua kind of needs to recover from injury/surgery.

LOL, good point. But their offense could.

Yep - the only downside here is Tua had an incredible season that most other years would have easily won the Heisman, and now he won't win it. That sucks for him. Everything else, though, is pretty positive IMHO.

Said it before and I'll say it again: Tua's path to winning lies in two areas, aside from carrying the SEC and ACC regions.

1. He needs to be 2nd on the ballots of everyone who voted for Haskins and Murray 1st.

2. There need to be a lot of voters in the Pac 12 states that vote Tua and MInshew in either order 1-2, and then have Murray and Haskins split the 3rd place votes.

I wonder if Murray will end up being Torretta 2.0 - great regular season, win Heisman, get exposed by good defense.

I doubt it. Kid can play, and his system is fantastic.

Doesn't mean we won't get after him, but I doubt he's gonna show up and fall apart.

Murray never got hurt. Tua played half the season hurt, and played almost the whole Georgia game hurt. The Jalen story line was awesome, and it's hilarious how Georgia got their hopes shattered yet again, but man I would like to have seen a healthy tua in that game, mobile in the pocket and able to put his usual stank on the ball. It never would have been close

While I agree with you, it's almost a shame since Murray plays in a conference where defense is optional.

I assume everyone will be up in arms that Oklahoma QBs keep winning the Heisman in a rigged system playing in a league with no defense. IT'S BAD FOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL!

Right? The national media will be in up in arms about that, right?
