I feel sorry for this kid. No way he can live up to the hype.

SEC players’ chances at the 2014 Heisman Trophy

Todd Gurley, Georgia, RB: 14/1 - Too low
•Nick Marshall, Auburn, QB: 16/1 - Too high
•T.J. Yeldon, Alabama, RB: 20/1 - Too high (Splitting carries)
•Derrick Henry, Alabama, RB: 25/1 - see above
•Mike Davis, South Carolina, RB: 28/1 - Legit
•Dak Prescott, Mississippi St., QB: 50/1 - Too High (Mississippi State)
•Jacob Coker, Alabama, QB: 50/1 - Legit
•Leonard Fournette, LSU, RB: 66/1 - Too high (See Yeldon/Henry)

I'd put 5 bucks on Leonard.

Can't wait to see this kid play.

Would love for him to win it this year but it would take 1,700+ yards and SCAR probably winning the National Championship ... or at least making the playoffs.

I could see Gurley taking this honor. He's a beast.

RB's way over-valued in that list.

The Heisman has become almost exclusively a QB award sadly.

Uh, Dak Prescott shared time with a senior QB last year and was injured two games. His numbers, which aren't bad, came from his only playing about 35% of Miss State's plays.
Miss State won't be punting very much this year. But, your opinion is duly noted.

It's more of a rule for heisman voting these days than is character.

Using cfbsts.com

I count Dak as playing 267 of the 429 passing attempts and 134 of the 527 rushing attempts, he also caught 2 passes. This doesn't count the number of times he handed the ball off. MSU had 956 total plays last year so just adding up the plays he was directly responsible for he was in over 40% of the plays. Again this doesn't take into account the times he handed off the ball.

Russel and Williams added up for 219 passing and rushing attempts, so there were a total of 336 rushes by the backs that are unaccounted for. Even if you split those evenly, 112 a piece, that would make Daks total plays 513, for a little under 60% of the total snaps.

Not sure if its possible to tell who handed off when, and Im just not going to look any further into this. I had just seen that Dak only took about 35% of the total snaps a few different times in threads and was curious how accurate it was. As I figured, not accurate at all. Come at me Engie.

Well that's not true.

Prescott was accountable for only 10 less plays than Nick Marshall last year and Marshall played in 2 more games.

A&M will face all but 1 of those players.

Todd Gurley.

Which hurts Gurley because everyone else will be padding stats.

Tebow was a pretty decent QB right? Well your boy Jesse Palmer has been saying for about a year now that Dak could very well be on his way to being the best QB Mullen has ever coached. That list would of course include Timmy Tebow.

I get the feeling from this thread that A&M fans don't care for Bama QBs.
